Use this place frequently as my daughter works in the building. Excellent value for money and great service. Always greeted with a smile. The big name coffee bars could learn from their cleanliness tables are always clean!

Popped in for a bit of lunch after seeing reviews on here and wasn't disappointed. 2 meals for £6. I had the fish, chips and peas, well cooked and plenty of it. My daughter had the chicken curry with rice chips and naan bread, massive portion and really tasty. The have a good varied menu and a specials board. I will definitely be returning.

Be sure to visit next time you're in Birkenhead. In spite all of the options available in the town centre the decision is always simple for me, Americano's at The Lauries wins every time. A full home cooked meal for under four pounds,simple menu choice table service in a clean modern centre used for meetings/training/opposite the town main fire station.Owner head chef Yuonne also does outside catering for any event.I live between UK and Lanzarote and find it hard to enjoy good healthy cuisine in UK we lag behind Med countries in fresh produce to eat.

I ordered an omelette and had to wait 3/4 hour for it?? When I queried the wait (only had an hour for lunch I was told by very rude staff all food was cooked fresh (did they wait for the hens to lay the eggs! But more disturbing when we went to the loo after lunch there was no hot water we were then told the boiler had been off for over a month how can a cafe run without hot water to wash hands etc .. will not be going back!

I do believe that the cafe did have hot water as I questioned this myself ,,it was the Lauries centre that didn't ..... I have been coming here along time now and long enough to know that the Lauries and Americanos are two totally different buisnesses think you should of went the pound bakery if you wanted fast food ! No need for such slated feedback as a good value customer I highly rate Americano's and their staff, so keep up the good work girls : x View menu
