"The flavors weren't quite a match for my tastes but I'm rating this based on what I think others would rate this. The white bait was nice and crisp though I didn't really taste any lemon. This is better shared with someone as the whole dish of fried fish is a little much to the tongue. I had the mushroom pizza and added prosciutto and roquito peppers. I didn't really taste the sourdough of the crust. The one I make at home, which granted probably ferments quite a bit, but it has a very pronounced taste while this one doesn't have any particular taste to it. Texture is chewy and kinda fluffy if that makes sense, similar to Novanta back home in Madison. The tomato sauce is minimally cooked, I prefer mine to have a strong cooked down tomato flavor but if you're going for a light fresh taste I think you'll enjoy this. I think the pizza could use a dash of salt as the mushrooms didn't really have much flavor to them. Nice atmosphere, casual but a little nicer looking inside"

Excellent dinner. Locally sourced food and a very special menu. A bit pricey, but worth the money. Would definitely go again.

This was a great find and the food was fantastic. Really enjoyed our meal. I'm picky about my italian and this fit the bill just fine. Great atmosphere, service was good and food was outstanding.

Had a fantastic rib eye with the chunkiest chips possible this side of a whole potato. Great peppercorn sauce too (plenty of peppercorns). Nice atmosphere, good friendly service. Parking across the road in church car park. View menu

I was there this evening and I thought the service was lacking. The food was not flavorful and I felt it was overpriced. There are only two restaurants in this small town where you can go for dinner. Luckily the next town is only a few miles away with several restaurants.

Well, the English have a reputation for either over-cooking or simply boiling their food. We went for the Sunday roast lunch and the Scottish cook managed to overlook both the short rib appetizer and the roast beef main. The desserts were both good: a pudding and a sundae with home-made ice cream

We are so lucky to have such a great restaurant in our wee village. From a fab selection of homemade pies on Wednesdays, to fondue Fridays and Cellar Sundays to the lovely a la carte menu. And you just have to try their homemade ice creams too! Oh and if the chocolate bombe is on the menu... it's worth the 20-minute wait! View menu

Walked in as a group of six guys on a Thursday evening for dinner. Fast service, fantastic food, great ambiance. The inside is nicer than you would imagine. Centrally located. Imaginative, well-executed dishes that are fun and playful. Would highly recommend the tartiflette and goat cheese mousse for appetizers, the sea bass/salmon/langoustine combo for an entree, and sitting at the two tables outside. Beer selection is limited but the beers are good.

Booked this restuarant for special evening with my guest, what an horrible experience, after being seated we want to start with some wine, was informed you are not allowed to taste the wines before purchase, this is of course wines by the glass, after receiving a wine we disliked, the waiter would not let us order just a starter to get our dinner started, informed us we had to order our whole menu first, yes that included dessert, it was worse than a pre meal on a cruise ship, than came the sub standard food, the prawn dish with only two prawns, than a steak , we only ordered on steak to split, that was frowned on too, the steak was on the worst I've had, way dry with no flavor or fat/marble...
