Additionally, I noticed a food hygiene rating of 4 prominently displayed on the main window, but the details on the back dated back to 2015. According to the food hygiene ratings app on my phone, they actually had a rating of 2. This is something most people wouldn't notice unless they had experience working with a local council. I genuinely hope they improve their food standards and renovate the restaurant to create a more inviting atmosphere."

The food and atmosphere in this restaurant was absolutely great. The management and staff made it just a great evening. The flavours and the quality of the food were just brilliant.

I can't provide a full review since this hotel does not accept reservations through OpenTable, so I can only give it 1 star. However, we did visit separately, and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating, which deserves 5 stars.

Took my parents out for a treat as they had lived in the area for over 30 years and never been to Lovelady Shield. We decided to have the Bistro menu and there was a good selection to chose. Food was excellent from starter to dessert and everyone enjoyed it. View menu
