"The problem being that this is the only place to eat in Signy. Our starters were pretty awful: a vegetarian attempt, something of nondescript taste that vaguelly resembled sushi; and too pieces of bread with melted cheese on top. The beefsteak was OK but certainly nothing to write home about, and not cheap. But the real surprise was the desert: yaourt fermier bio aux fruits rouges sounds quite good, but what arrived was a small plastic pot of yogurt with blueberries straight from the supermarket, for 4,50 euros."

We stopped by Chimay on our way to France, and it was kind of what we expected It was very, very commercial, with kind of a sterile feeling.

We dined there two nights and had the specials, presented on chalkboard. Found the food to be ample but a bit rich for our simple palettes. Good service, friendly staff

Nice food and people. Typically French. Don't hesitate, try it out! We didn't try the hotel, but if they have the same standards for the hotel as fir the food it has to be great.

We were tired and hungry after a long day's drive and found the Auberge busy. But the staff found a puzzle for our youngest member, and when it came we enjoyed an excellent meal. View menu

Food sourced from family farm, cooked in Regional style , Limited choice means great quality plates! Care taken to choose many Biodynamic wines to complement their food style and values

Stayed at the hotel for the 3rd time and always used their restaurant. The menu might be considered to be somewhat limited but we have never had an issue. At least some of the food comes from thier own farm so is about as fresh as it can be. Many local people come in so this must be a good sign. Staff attentive and accomodating. Wil no doubt go back again.

Nice hotel in a rurale village in the north of France. The historical hotelbuilding overlooks the marketplace and offers attractive rooms and a great restaurant. At tis moment the hotel is expanding its capacity with a number of new and modern rooms and a spacious breakfast facility. I stayed here for the third time in the past few years and it's always a pleasure View menu

But thats easy because there is only one restaurant in the village :-).We had diner here and it was all excellent. Don't expect 5 star but very friendly and helpful service, nice ant tasty but simple food, nice wines. We were there on a Saturday night and although it is a large restaurant it was full. Service was hence a bit slow at some point but still okay. We had fish and fondue. Both very good.If you are in the neighbor and looking for a restaurant then do not hesitate.

The hotel is situated in an old building in the village street. Corridors and rooms are a little quaint. Rooms are clean and reasonably priced. In summer dinner may be eaten on the small terrace in front of the hotel and overlooking the village street and some fine old houses opposite. Food is of a high standard, both at dinner and breakfast. There is a small parking area in the hotel's courtyard and it is free-of-charge. This was my first visit to this hotel and I certainly intend to stay here again.
