"A group of six, we went to Baan Thai for the first time and we will definitely be returning. On an evening you can park close by for free in a council car park or on the road near the restaurant if you are lucky. It has a lovely bright decor inside and we got a warm greeting from the staff on arrival. The service was faultless. I chose a mixed starter to share with a friend and Pad Kee Mao Egg Noodles. The food was fantastic. It was freshly cooked and on the starters, the described light batter was just that. The noodles were full of flavour with plenty of king prawns. Everybody else in the group was impressed by their dishes too. It was good to see the waitress read back the menu to check that she had taken the order down correctly which doesn't seem to happen very much these days. With a bottle of wine, 2 beers and one soft drink between us, it worked out at £21 per person. For the quality of food and service, it was well worth it and good value."

Brilliant as always. Welcoming atmosphere from front of house and the food consistently delicious. At the risk of being facetious I’d be interested to hear a previous reviewers method of cooking ribs from scratch in less than a few hours? ;

We booked a table here because of the reviews on Trip Advisor and thankfully we were not let down. The food was excellent, and the service was also good. The meal was well paced and we never felt rushed. I enjoyed the BBQ ribs and Crispy Duck I had and the portions were a bit large but enjoyable

Visited Hartlepool for the first time for work. Walked from the Travelodge to this lovely little restaurant. I had the Tom Yum (not sure if that's how you spell it soup with prawns and the garlic prawns (I love prawns! as a main with egg fried rice. Honestly, it sounds simple but it was so tasty!! I really enjoyed the food. The restaurant was cosy as well and not hugely costly. My waiter Mark was also really friendly and helpful when I was choosing my dishes. I'll definitely be heading back here when I'm back in Hartlepool!

Doesn’t look like a 5 star venue, very nice but not immaculate. Staff very friendly and welcoming Dined there in a Monday night so not the busiest night in town but there were still 3 other tables in We were on a work budget so ordered more than we should have but had 2 starters , 3 mains and a rice All were very very good quality and from the sounds of cooking coming from the kitchen , which wasn’t visible was cooked to order and fresh All in all a very very nice meal and total cost was less than £50 which included 4 beers I would deffo go back

The food as always was exceptional. The Tom ka, soup is fantastic, as is the Pad Kee Mao noodle dish. All of our party throughly enjoyed the food. The service as always was also very good and friendly, the staff are very knowledgeable, especially our waiter Mark, who I believe l was working his last week at the restaurant, which is such a shame as he was one of the reasons that we enjoyed visiting the restaurant as much as the food, he always had time to chat and had some interesting stories to tell, hopefully they shall persuade him to return, but if not then we wish him well. We can’t wait for our next family visit. Thank you! View menu

We were actually en route to a different restaurant that was closed for refurbishment when we spotted this spot across the road! So happy we found it. Food was amazing. Having visited Thailand several times, I was thrilled with the discovery of this place. My parents, less equaintenced with Thai food also had a great time and loved the food. We went for happy hour deals (how could you not, such a bargin) but the portions were big and everything delishious and boiling hot as they came out! The lovely ladies that were working were very patient with my parents as they navigated their way around the menu. Great food, great service, I'll definitely be recommending and will be back soon!

First time vist as our usual Thai restaurant is now inaccessible due to parking arrangements. The place was busy, we had not been able to look at the menu on line apart from starters. We were greeted warmly and quickly got our delicious starter mixed platter. We then waited a long time for the main course due to them only having one chef and a high number of take out orders being fulfilled first. The food was of good quality and delicious. The big shock was the bill, it was happy hour prices, I would dread to think what the prices were after Happy hour. The biggest shock was the prive of drinks, a small soda water was £1.70, coke from a machine was also exhorbitant. The food was wonderful, p...
