"Agree with previous reviews, excellent little restaurant a surprise in a way, you might expect a run of the mill Thai/Chinese but this is definitely not ordinary cool, tasteful decor, nice waiting area, smallish but atmospheric dining room, cleanly unfussy settings with all servingware in solid white giving a very nice feel to the place. The food was delicious, clean tasting, sharp, hot chillie hot, not cloying and gloopy and the vegetables and rice cooked very well. The menu has good descriptions of the wide range of dishes to chose from and the 'heat ' is described accurately for those with more delicate tongue surfaces. Waitess service very friendly and attentive without being at all pushy again excellent. A good crowd inside, despite being a cold miserable November Monday evening, with other nearby establishments looking decidedly sparce or empty. Prices very reasonable with excellent selection of drinks. Highly recommended."

Reasonably price pan asian food. Very tasty in a good location for clifton. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Unusual choice of drinks available.

Lots of little problems keep it from being much better. Tables outside wobble badly, unsafe. Vanilla scented candle at the table left off-putting scent over my food. Noodle entree way too salty. Fried spring rolls had no taste. Server never came round to check on me or offer a second drink Starter arrived but no cutlery to be seen. Restroom unclean. I would not bother with this place. Just too amateurish. Seems like it is managed by teenagers. Feels like it anyway.

Very good service. We went there on sunday night expecting it to be dead, but it was packed despite that we were sat down waiting 3 or 4 minites. I had the duck udon, this was the first time I ever had duck and it was a good first experience of it. The noodles were thick and all the tastes of the food sank in a tasty, well suited sauce. I don't have much experience of duck or noodles , in fact it wa sthe second time I have ever had noodles but I generally believe it was buhimia's food. !! Quick service.Tasty food.Good prices.Easy to get to. Genarally yummy

Fantastic pan asian restaurant, faultless food and service , found this place from some reviews i found on google and it easily exceded the high expectations i had about it. It may not seem like much from outside but the quality of the food blew me away, the flavours, texture, and spices of the food were perfect for me, Also plesently suprised when the bill came as we expected that such a nice meal with great service would have have cost an arm n leg but it was fairly priced. It wasnt just us enjoying our meal either as both tables near expressed how good thier meals were too !

An attempt at 'pan-Asian ' eating this could be described as an upmarket Indian take away, but I think this would be a bit unfair. With a selection of Thai, Chinese, and Indian dishes, it 's refreshing that it doesn 't just try and bit a run of the mill Chinese or Indian place. The food seems a bit healthier than the usual take away as well, differentiating this place from the half a dozen or so takeaways within ten minutes walk. I particularly appreciate that they don 't feel the need to make their curries super bright colours. All in all, a take away restaurant that is a cut above the rest.

The modern clean-lined decor in this pan-Asian restuarant mirrors its fantastic cuisine. I'm a big fan of Bauhinia as it is a lovely place to dine in Clifton, without being devastatingly pretentious or expensive. If you like your asian cuisine, I would fully recommend taking a trip to Boyces Ave. and trying this place out. Their Beef Rendang is particularly good as is the Nasi Goreng. If you're looking for a bargain in the early evening, they have an early bird specials menu which includes selected dishes- 2 courses for £8.50 Service is always provided with a smile, and it's always pretty busy, and rightly so!

There are a few Pan Asian restaurants in Bristol, but this independently run one in Clifton villages is arguably the best of the bunch. The food here is superb and they clearly use only the highest ingredients. Each cuisine has it's own distinct style and they are all packed full of flavour. The pork dumplings were particularly excellent as was the kari ayan chicken curry with sweet potato. Portion sizes are good too as are the prices. If you choose to come here for a meal you'll find the staff very friendly and knowledgable, but what's even better than this, is they actually offer a takeaway service (very rare for a restaurant of this quality).

I've been a couple of times to Bauhinia and while the food has never blown me away, it's a solid Asian restaurant which is a lot better value than the Clifton mark-up on most neighbouring eateries. The second time I went was for a friend's birthday when my and my friend's main course arrived long after the first. Not impressive. However, they managed to redeem themselves somewhat, gladly plying us with apologies and free wine, which gets you just about anywhere in my book. The decor is modern but there's still a warm atmosphere, with accommodating low lighting. Some of the design flourishes err on the tacky side but the food is good enough to forgive a few little sins.

This place is WAY nicer inside than it looks from the outside. The decor in the back is downright swanky but the prices aren't high enough to match. The waitstaff was exceedlingly friendly and pleasant as well. We ordered a papaya salad to start with. We were happy to see it on the menu since it doesn't seem to be a staple around here. The portion wasn't huge but it was a nice salad. I ordered the Thai green curry for my main dish and it certainly didn't dissapoint. It also didn't seem too heavy or greasy. I think I even drank some of the sauce with the spoon which is something I wouldn't usually consider since I'd like to wear a bathing suit again someday. If you get here before 7 (I think)...
