"A pleasant looking restaurant that soon lost its appeal, the service was exceptionally poor with it taking over 40 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, communication between the limited staff an obvious issue, no apology given, service thereafter was adequate but in no way redeemed itself, indeed when the table next to us tried to get the waiters attention the shout across the restaurant of Sorry but can 't you see I 'm very busy was nothing short of Fawlty Towers at its best. The food portions in the main were generous but the quality merely average and certainly not good value. One to give a miss I 'm afraid"

Having booked with Open Table we arrived to find the restaurant closed despite a sign at the entrance stating opening hours included Sundays!! We therefore did not dine here.

A lovely small cosy restaurant which they have opened up and made extra seating. Good service, good food, good atmosphere and a good evening to be had here.....................

my wife and i had an excellent meal and bottle of wine to celebrate my birthday. the only down side was,when i came to pay,the card machine was not working and i was forced to go across the road to lloyds bank atm machine to withdraw the cash in order to settle my bill.

Lovely, a little smaller than expected and some of the tables are very close together but ours was fine. There was a large group in which made it a bit noisy but nothing unbearable and the staff did apologise. The staff were lovely and so was the food, will definitely be going again

We arrived early after booking a table, my wife ordered a seafood pasta dish with linguini, it came with spaghetti and was awful I ordered sea bass with a white wine and lemon sauce, it came with a spicy tomato sauce, I could not taste the fish it was awful. For a Friday night the place was about 25% full, we soon found out why, I do not think the chef was a qualified chef. We paid the bill and advised them of our disappointment, the waiter spoke to the chef , no aplogy was offered or any attempt to resolve the situation

we had booked a window table for my wife's birthday and when we arrived the window table had a reserved sign on it so it was a very good start to the evening.the young lady ,who appeared to be in charge,seated us at the table and gave us ample time to choose our starter and main.my wife,for the first time,had the beef strogonoff as a main which she said was excellent.i had the tournados rossini which i asked for medium rare and it was cooked to perfection.we will continue to use bella venezia on a regular basis and we do not have any reservations in recommending it to friends !!
