"I don 't expect these places to serve a la carte, however, it is pegged as the best place to eat for a sit-down meal in the museum and as you may expect from a restaurant you have to wait to be seated. We waited a while despite nobody else in line. The lit up tables appealed to the children. The menu was on a white paper allowing light to pass through and so to read it in the dimmed environment you have to place it directly on the table. This was okay with the adult menu but they failed to make this work with the kid 's menu as the text was in a light colour and made it very hard for even this 20+20 vision person to read. We ordered some food, mine was a chicken Caesar salad and everyone else had burgers and my one son had pasta. The salad and pasta were okay and I mean okay not wonderful or fancy and the portions were very small. The burgers were very bland. I mean cardboard bland. I at first thought my son was just being a little picky but when my friend said the same I tried the burger and my shoe sole would have tasted more like beef. I asked the server to taste it and her answer was We don 't get any complaints about the burger, it is plain for the children, that is how they like it! They gave my son some milk to apologise which was a bit of an insult really, they should have given him some pasta instead. This milk, however, was not something they wanted to give, it was clearly painful for her to offer anything. Having seen the reviews on google with a low 2.5 stars and here I think they are in denial."

I ordered the BBQ pulled pork burger, it tasted great but I felt like something was forgotten. Maybe some salad, cheeze or bacon? But the place and customers was fantastic!

At least for me, the dining experience at London museums has been a surprise. The menus may not be that extensive but the food preparation has been well done. Seems better that what you get in the states.

We visited The Dinner at the Science Museum in mid July and without a doubt it was the best meal we had in London during our time there. For Australians, price wise it is on par with Hogs Breath, so it wasn't cheap, but it was worth it. We had hamburgers, chips and soft drinks and weren't disappointed. It was also the perfect spot to get away from inconsiderate foreign students as it has a waist height wall around it.

We were tired and hungry from shopping on Regents and Oxford Streets. Searched online for a place near us to eat, and The Diner came up with good reviews. We almost walked by it because the windows were darkened, and it looked like it was closed, but glad we tried the door. The place was packed, but we were quickly seated towards the back of the restaurant. Cheeseburgers and fries were great! Beers, shakes, floats. Or if you prefer, they serve breakfast all day! We really enjoyed it and the service was good.

The Science Museum is a wonderful place to explore technologies old and new. It has everything from ancient steam engines to space travel, it explains how and why things work and it has the Wonderlab where you can get your hands on the exhibits and play with them to your heat's content. What it doesn't have is a good restaurant in The Diner. We ordered a chicken Caesar salad and a chicken burger. In both cases the chicken had either died of old age or had been cooked to death. it was dry and tasteless. The burger had a smear of mayonnaise and a few bits of red pepper but not much else. The sweet potato chips were cold and rubbery inedible. Go to the museum, enjoy the exhibits but eat somewhe...
