"Cannot fault the staff or food. Both were good. However,we were shown to a table that, after a short time we requested to be moved from . There was a strong smell of chemicals, which we were told was something the floors had been treated with,in the hotel part, shortly before opening.Im astounded that customers were expected to sit somewhere that could affect their health.I left with a migraine.Furthermore we were kept waiting when we asked for the bill.We added it up because the staff could not access the digital till system.Obviously we did not leave the service charge and will not return to this establishment."

What a lovely restaurant, more importantly the manager Sharif is the perfect host and a true gentleman. Breakfast every day has been a pleasure!

Excellent and friendly staff. Very knowledgeable of menus. The Sunday roast was very good and portioned well. Nice espresso martini for dessert. Also sticky pudding is out of this world.

The Good Fish and Chips were great a large portion, perfectly cooked, hot out of the fryer. The BLT (with real bacon) was a nice size and hot. Prices were somewhat high. The Bad Service waitstaff was slow.

Extremely busy even at 5:15pm but host was kind enough to find a table for us without reservations. Chicken tikka masala, cheese toastie, and sticky toffee pudding were excellent. Atmosphere is classy and lively. Would recommend. View menu

Nice atmosphere decor, joined onto a hotel so there are lots of guests lots of people in suits after work. The food was nice although the prices have hiked up alot since I went last, hence the urge to write a review. The staff were really slow but friendly enough.

They are still struggling with how to serve….. waiters are very friendly and food is good. But my roast was cold (waiting on roast potatoes I guess) and glasses are still coming out dirty. I’ve been coming since it opened and food is always good but they really need to get some organisation and a solid detailed floor manager.

We found this on Open Table. It was close to our hotel and we were looking for a quality meal. The Blue Boar was a good find! Prices were reasonable! And the food quality was good. They did appear to be a little short-staffed though, so service was a little slow at times. But otherwise, it was a good meal! We'd return and try it again. View menu

Nice, almost somewhat classy interior. Not a classic pub more like a hotel environment and it is: it 's a bar/pub belonging to the Conrad hotel. The food is like you would expect: pub dishes. Quality is uneven: a perfect fishn 'chips enjoyed by one in the company, while one other struggled with a chewy piece of meat. Service is also uneven. At peak with many guests it could be really slow. Quite expensive. But ok, a drink and a quick bite: sure. Not for having a dinner experience though.

My partner and I were in London for Remembrance Weekend. We booked The Blue Boar for Sunday lunch as we were there last year and were so impressed with the ambiance and staff. This year we were originally 3 but met up with some others and became 7. When I arrived at the desk I did explain and the man who greeted me (manager? went out of his way to get a table for the 7 of us. He was helpful, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all helpful too. The food did not disappoint either. Will definitely visit again and would highly recommend this place.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
