"Sad to say, gone massively downhill.... and the prices are eye-watering for something so bog-standard. One starter item was unbelievably rancid. I imagine they literally cooked it in the oldest, dirtiest worst-tasting oil EVER. Sent it back, was told he would get us some newer ones, and it was replaced. Realised later, they charged us for it anyway. Rest of food was 'OK '/Friday night cheap can 't be arsed cooking, let 's get a takeaway level .... Also, don 't know what 's going on with the staff, but it was service with a grimace. We were there to celebrate a teenage family birthday and when the 'birthday girl ' of our party was ordering, the bored waiter taking the order was rolling his eyes. I know catering isn 't easy, but at least try to fake it? Every time you asked for something (aside from one waiter), there was a discernible grimace. It was awful. In these difficult times, you 'd think they 'd be falling over themselves to up their game, not the case. You 've lost another few customers here."

Had a takeaway very nice. My family were pleased with their food. I'm not a fan of Indian food!

Great food, friendly staff. Zero percent alcohol Heineken being served to help with dry January.

Five of us to talk shop. Pretty fast service, five different curries, rices, dahl, red onion naan. All nicely spiced, good sauces and plenty of meat. Very nice indeed.

The service at this restaurant was extremely lacking. Despite promising a 20% discount, it was not applied and they are now saying they do not honor this promotion. Their trustworthiness is questionable.

Beautiful Indian restaurant, a bit more upmarket than your usual curry house. Very attentive staff, beautiful food and good atmosphere. A little bit pricier than some but worth it. Definitely worth another visit.

Fantastic service, the food was exceptional. Would certainly be coming back for date night and family event. My mother in law thoroughly enjoyed her Birthday meal. She even got a surprise coffee mug from them. Amazing

It rarely fails to impress in this place we visit once monthly or more. Another delicious meal all round, great service, comfortable seating. Poppadums, starters for 2, main meals sides for 2, soft drinks 2 floater coffee 2 all for £65. Delicious bargain best Indian within 10 miles or so i'd say.

Although the service was as good as always, the food was disappointing. The lack of mushrooms on a Wednesday was surprising, as we missed the mushroom bhaji dish. The sheek shami kebabs for starters were too salty, and we found the price of the korma sauce to be quite high at £5.50 alone. Overall, it was not a great visit this time, but we still plan to return to the restaurant.

"My wife and I booked a table at the Cinnamon Tree on Tuesday for the Sunday early evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I checked their web site first before booking as the actual date was on the Monday. Finding out that they did not...open on Mondays we opted for the Sunday. I telephoned the restaurant and made the booking. the person on the other end of the telephone repeated my details and time date ect. We turned up at the restaurant to fined it was closed with a sign on the door stating that they did not open on Sundays and Mondays. We got back in the car and went to turn around at the back of the restaurant and I saw a door at the back of the restaurant open. I stopped the car and went to the door and found someone in the kitchen. I told them that I had booked a table for that night and he confirmed what we had found out with the notes on the door. He then telephoned the owners of the restaurant and he put me on the telephone and I spoke to the owners partner and she said they have not been open for several weeks owing to staff shortages. I asked the lady why the booking had been taken as the staff must be aware of when the restaurant is closed or open and I had gone by their web site. She replied we haven't bothered to up date our web site and will not be doing so and have not bothered to blank out Sundays on the book were the reservations are written in and just blamed the person that took the booking in the first place. Her attitude was I couldn't care less. At this point I was boiling as I have used the Cinnamon Tree for many years and have always had a good meal there. But after this episode they can go to hell I will never go there again."
