"Avoid this horribly inhospitable proprietor and her unwelcoming establishment. Leaving Stazione Vetimiglia, I was looking for a quick latte or cappuccino and in desperate need of WiFi in a town with extremely limited access. Upon approaching the ostensible proprietor, I was quickly informed that it was a “restaurant” and that I was not welcome to partake of their WiFi while purchasing a mere coffee. Simply disgraceful. Thankfully I wandered half a block to The Sir Thomas” where I was met with open arms, a terrific smoke and a delicious Latte Macchiato. After lunch and a walk on the beach, I am now back at Sir Thomas enjoying an excellent Sangiovese. Vote with your feet people!"

A beautiful little place with free wifi. Barbara was very kind and the ambiance was perfect for a cloudy day. They served sweet crepes as well : .

We always stop by for a glass while in Ventimiglia and enjoy the complimentary snacks . This time we decided to dine and both went for the Mediterranean pasta, fresh and tasty. Definitely somewhere I'd recommend for somewhere individual, well run and great value

Near the Vintimille market and halls. Small bookstore concept, a warm service in finesse speaks French if necessary) a typical cuisine house of Italy of beautiful portions for seafood pasta and ravioli.... Do not hesitate to enter this small restaurant of some tables. Type of meal: Breakfast

Excellent little cafe in a cool shady corner in Ventimiglia. We were hungry and thirsty on a 30 degree day. They had me with the books on tables, in many languages, and were happy for us to sit down for lunch early (1130 . Quirky vibe, delicious food (especially the fried anchovies! , fun hostess.highly recommended. View menu

Amazing tiny restaurant wonderfully decorated with books and antiques. We had delicious spring pasta, perfect agnolotti and exceptional fried anchovies. The tiramisu is a must. All is fresh home made with day products from the famous Ventimiglia market. We loved signora Barbara delicate service. A very unexpected intelectual stop in Ventimiglia!

Had a fantastic lunch at this little charming cafe in Ventimiglia. A small menu card BUT the quality was great. Already from the smell coming out of the kitchen you know that is gonna be good. We had some simple pasta dishes and a scaloppine ai Limone, and it was a joy great chef at work. I recommend that you visit this place and enjoy a fab meal.

"We visited Il Giardino del Gusto in November of 2019 while on vacation with our family from Toronto, Canada. Where to start?! The menu looked appetizing but that 's about it--our first plates came out rather cold and were SO SMALL (I ordered the prawns and I was given two measly pieces of shrimp... really? . When I inquired our waiter, Marco, why the portions were so small he said in a cavalier way Welcome to Italy! . Um, okay. By the time our main dishes came out, we were ready for the bill. The portion-controlled sizes of the dishes continued to mimic those of a tasting menu at a 5* Michelin restaurant, however, the taste was altogether lacking. Most of our family members don 't even remember what they ate here, it was that non-memorable. My husband, who ordered the fresh fish of the day, said the fish tasted farm-raised and was definitely not freshly caught. No excuse!! Ventimiglia is RIGHT on the water. Daiiiii! The kicker was the waitstaff drama that we witnessed. Voices were raised between the restaurant manager, Maria, and our waiter, Marco, who seemed to be involved in some sort of cheating lover 's quarrel! I kid you not, our Canadian family members who speak Italian were shocked at what was said between them. While not all of us spoke Italian, we got the gist of their drama. All together this restaurant has a very unprofessional atmosphere and the food is overpriced and not fresh to boot. The sommelier, Anna, was very helpful however in making sure that we had our bellies full of good, French and Italian wines. Skip the waitstaff drama, poor food, and small portions--in short, find another place to eat in Ventimiglia!"
