"Rosanna's home is lodged in the hills overlooking vineyards and typical villas. It boasts a large garden and plenty of fruit trees, vegetables, a pool, chicken and at least a cat. In the evening, lights provide that additional something to the ambience. There is a choice of half a dozen antipasti, 3 primi and 3 secondi piatti. Everything was extremely delicious, fresh and nicely presented. The only disappointment was that 1 out of the 3 primi piatti (the ravioli) wasn't available, and all 3 secondi were veal-based. Quality always goes over quantity, also in the choice of dishes, but at least the few choices should be available and diverse. Nevertheless, we had a fantastic and unforgettable evening. Thank you Rosanna and team!"

Best pasta we've had in Piemonte so far. I would have given a 5 stars, but very unfortunately the starters was not at the same level as their pasta. Absolutely amazing pasta! Highly recommended!!

A special place! The food, the ambience, and the hospitality is top notch. Rosanna has created a beautiful place that is a small slice of paradise. And the food is unbelievable. The view from the garden with a glass of their local wine is well worth the visit. We will always stop here for our first meal when visiting the region.

It was by chance that we found this small, cute, hidden away bottega restaurant on the internet. When we arrived we were the first table there and the host greeted us bythe driveway. Very kind people and staff! The design and attention to detail was truly stunning. The food and how they created the dishes plates was a masterpiece! They even brought out two snacks amouse bouches! This truly is an insider tip (there were only locals eating there that evening)! If you get the chance to try it, please do so! You will not be disappointed.

Last night we had the pleasure to dine in this restaurant suggested by the Relais where we stayed about 15 minutes drive from there. The owners are fantastic with great passion for their restaurant and the food they cook for you. All ingredients carefully selected from their own garden or local producers and prepared by themselves. We had the homemade pate, then meat tartare (one of the best we ever tried), fantastic ravioli in broth and finished up with delicious desserts. Warmly recommend this delightful restaurant and personally hope to be back soon.

A small paradise in the middle of nowhere. The Agriturismo has 2 apartments, of which ours measured more than 75m2. Comfortable beds, well decorated, very good heating system. The breakfast was served each morning to your door in a basket full of surprises. A fully functional kitchen, well equipped. But, the best of all Rosanna's restaurant! Excellent italian cuisine by Rosanna and her son Massimiliano. Very reasonable prices. During our stay, the restaurant filled up about every night, very cosy. A lovely place, with warm and caring owners. Thank you Rosanna and Massimiliano for a wonderful stay!

Thanks, great. room, big. the dishes, ten and praise. stage and presentation, ten and praise. tips, perfecting it is difficult to say which element was the best, in a concert of perfection and kindness. dishes of the highest level, superlative goto, staff in the very kind room, incomparable chef. Okay, it's a little out of control, but it's five minutes drive, and it's worth it. all very good, all very good, but a special mention to the pharaoh's terrine (sublime) and crab balls with ginger puree, and shrimp aside. literally a dream. the super bathrooms, and remember to visit the bathroom, deserves the trip.

We booked a table at Rosanna based on the recommendation of our host. We went for dinner and had perfect Antipasti, pasta, veal in barbera sauce with black truffles and outstanding desserts (hazelnut cake with ice cream and cheesecake). Not to mention good wine by the glass and an outstanding view into a valley and a view on Castagnole delle Lanze. Rosanna the owner and chef cooks herself with the ingredients out of her own garden and from local farmers! You have to reserve a table in advance as it was fully booked and she only serves each table once in the evening (our impression). We can’t go a second time this time around, but we will come back!

We rang ahead to ask if owner/chef Rosanna could accommodate two vegans, a vegetarian and a gluten-free vegetarian. She could, but not on a Saturday night, when she expected to be too busy. We went on a Thursday night and as it turned out, we were treated to a gorgeous meal, with a wide variety of veggies from Rosanna’s garden, some beautiful minestrone, to die for mushroom and asparagus risotto, and the coup de grâce: strudel made with seasonal fruit, local nuts and dark chocolate. Rosanna was even prepared to share the recipe. This beautiful meal was an experience that I will always remember. I felt as if I was eating gorgeous, fresh food in someone’s dining room. Wish I could go back next...

"It is not often that I am taken aback visiting restaurants here in this region.Mostly they serve the same type of food.So our recent visit to La Barbera was a real surprise. We have visited this restaurant several times before and it was always OK with typical Italian dishes and good pizza. This time we were served a variation of food we had never seen. Some examples:Marinated salmon with candied ginger, watermelon in port wine with a little polenta. Egg cooked in the oven with wild mushrooms, sauce made with Grana Padana cheese and truffles.Ripe eggplant with tomato confit and smoked scarmoza cheese sauce.Squid fried with potatoes and dry tomatoes.A series of desserts to follow all to die for.So what happended to the usual primi and secondi? It turns out the head chef Massimiliano Careri decided to upgrade the approach to the Italian tradition.Less pizza and pasta and more new creations based on the Italian cooking traditions. The result is no more than stunning,The prices are still very reasonable. The venue is located in the castle of Costigliole d'Asti and is in itself worth a visit. Ask to see the tasting rooms, the wine cellar and the cheese cave. You can choose a rustic room with and old oven or a more formal dining room including a separate room for small groups.I highly recommend a visit to this castle."
