"Excellent value cafe, just note that it's cash only (I don't know if this is temporary or permanent). They will pop your order through first and allow you to go and get cash, easiest is across the road at tesco. Went with a friend, she had a full builders breakfast for only £5 as it was ordered before 10.30am. I had brioche french toast with strawberries and banana. I asked if I could have some scrambled eggs on the side, no issue. The food was gorgeous, soft and really thick bread full of flavour, topped with icing sugar. Also had a chocolate orange milkshake which was really strong as well and lovely. Lovely staff in the cafe, great service and very chatty. Happy to help. Seems to be a little hidden gem of a cafe, we'd not visited before. We were actually due to attend a different cafe for breakfast but arrived to find it closed so went here instead which seemed to be a major upgrade anyway we were well pleased with our visit. Loads of variety on the menu, can't wait to go back."

This restaurant serves a fantastic "full English" breakfast. The portions are generous and reasonably priced. The staff is also very friendly. View menu

Massive portions, the pancakes with bacon was belly bursting. The staff are lovely and the breakfast was good value, only one thing was the ketchup was a cheap version.

I recently arrived from Costa Rica and was taken to this restaurant by my daughter and son-in-law. We all thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. Personally, I particularly enjoyed the British breakfast! View menu

eating here was very good and well cooked. many choices for all. it was necessary to arrange missing items that were quickly treated. my only grip with this place is that it is too far away from my hometown, otherwise I would be a regular and much thicker, maybe a blessing in trim

We used to come here for breakfast when visiting family in Cardiff, and returned this time. The breakfast was so good that we ended up eating here two mornings in a row. The French toast was delicious and the eggs benedict was outstanding. On the second day, it was our daughter's 6th birthday and she had chocolate chip pancakes that were truly out of this world. I also highly recommend the coffee, it was so rich and flavorful. It really made our day, thank you so much. We will definitely be back on our next visit.

"It was the most bizarre experience dining here. First when we arrived in the restaurant, our group set up was that there was someone on each end who was sitting facing an empty chair on the other side of the table. Upon enquiry we understood it was a covid measure, however never had any other restaurants requesting such seating arrangements in the past 20 months. We ordered two split pots, a non-spicy broth for one side of the pot and a spicy broth for the other side. The staff came to confirm that we wanted spicy/non-spicy in each pot. Yes, we said. To our shock when the pots came, one pot was spicy/spicy on both side, and the other was non-spicy/non-spicy on both sides. This was after the staff had came by to confirm that we wanted a spicy/non-spicy set-up, and in the usual situation a person wanting a spicy broth would not have asked for a split pot. We raised this to the staff and were clearly unhappy about it, though did not insist on having the broths changed around. What happened next made it the most awkward and uncomfortable dining experience ever. From where we were sitting, we could hear the owner reprimanding the staff for the error, throughout our meal. We understand mistakes occur and if the owner was unhappy about the mistake and genuinely wanted to apologise, taking the initiative to change the broth to the right setup, or a complimentary drink or dish would have gone a long way. But no, he chose to reprimand the staff within our hearing for the whole dinner (which didn't help the situation one bit and made the experience worse! . We felt sorry for the staff. Even with the hospitality shortage, that was a completely wrong way to help the staff improve, nor help retain them in the long run. I don't remember anything about the food, although photos did show a good range to choose from. At the end of the meal we each received a box of hello panda, which might have helped, if not for the fact they were expired. All in all, would not recommend."
