"This Cafe has been running for years. Don 't be put off the 'wild west ' looking frontage. My Dad and I were visiting from the UK and returned this year after a 10 year gap (we went twice this week for lunch). As you enter, there...is a traditional bar which you walk through to get to the restaurant. The restaurant is clean, tidy, with know particular flourishes, although it does have some interesting historical black and white photos of the surrounding area hung on the walls. The menu is not large, but has a good choice of meat dishes and salads, and a couple of specials, which are always worth trying. The specialise in Brochette (meat cook on a skewer). The Brochette Magret is lovely. The restaurant is open for lunch all year, and opens for evening service from about mid May to Sept."

Very unassuming cafe. Both courses were excellent. My dessert was a feast to the eyes and delicious to taste and all homemade. I would strongly recommend a visit.

Calling for an early bite, my wife and I walked through the front bar to find the restaurant in darkness. The hostess was quick to turn on the lights, and assure us that we would be looked after. After a while, a number of other tables came along. Surprisingly, the food was of very high quality, and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend.

The restaurant part of this cafe is in a room behind the bar which was very lively as there was a football match on the TV. There were mainly meat dishes on the blackboard menu and we both chose duck - brochette de magret and duck cooked with honey. The duck was tasty and nicely cooked. Puddings were home made and very good - large portions of creme brulee and panna cotta. Service was friendly and the atmosphere very informal.

we found this place wandering around Beaulieu one lunch time when we had coffee and a beer. We noticed the menu and asked when they closed as we were not ready foir lunch and they said 2pm so we returned which seemed to please them. The lunch plate of the day was calfs liver which was excellent and melted in your mouth. The house wine was very good. The couple who run the place were very friendly. We will return there next time im area

I stayed in Beaulieu last November and stumbled upon this wonderful spot. I was a woman traveling alone and have no problem going for a drink by myself (I usually don 't stay that way long! I met the owner, Ludo, upon my first visit and...then some of his regulars introduced themselves and we had a grand time. I went back a couple more times and the whole environment was like the US show Cheers . Everyone very congenial and a great atmosphere. I only drank the wine and did not eat : So I cannot rate the food. I 'm going back this summer and look forward to seeing Ludo and the locals AND having a meal or two

This place is small and intimate and serves delicious food. If you're ordering wine you will probably get the amazing mini olives but if you don't just ask for them. The staff are so ready to keep the customers happy. It has a lovely local feel and you also feel very looked after. The first time we came my glass of rose was refilled on the house as my partner had half a glass of beer still to drink and he didn't want to see me sitting there with an empty glass. The second time they made sure we were okay with the sun shades up and just took very good care of us without being intrusive. In my opinion the epitome of a cozy local Provencal eatery.
