Cafe des Marronniers

arrived from a canal boat, we were looking for a place to have a late lunch. we were lucky to find the café open. the salads were both tasty as well as filling as the entrecôte.

For those of you who were brought up learning French in the this cafe will bring memories flooding back. Excellent lunch of four courses with wine and coffee for euros per person. No complaints.

Had cycled from Ste Livrade sur Lot and turned up on spec It was busy but only a min wait Tomato and Mozzarella Starter, Bouef main course and a nice cake for sweet. All washed down with some Marmandais wine Then two thirds of...our bike ride to complete! Excellent day

two super meals in the small town vianne. the cafe of the marronier was excellent and cost-effective. a cure lunch for two with half a carafe wein and coffee for then the next night a course dinner with wine and coffee...for both meals were made with fresh products and served by the owner. I'll go back.

Les Marronniers is a bistro type bar with inside and outside seating. The food is good and hearty, not particularly posh but tasty brasserie style French food. We both had a main off the day’s menu for dinner and a drink and all for Our hostess was friendly and efficient. A nice square to sit out in on a Tuesday evening in early July. View menu

had a great meal in this small local kitchen this evening great atmosphere with france play Belgium in world cup. we had both the entrecote steaks that were boiled to perfection, and with pomme frittes, legumes, a nasalate, a glass wein everyone and. everyone for euro, how can you really go wrong. great value, great food and great service head here when they are past in beautiful vianne.

After pulling our boat up to the Vianne harbor on Baize River, it is a nice stroll up to the main gate of this Bastide city. Then you will naturally wend your way past residences and shops to the central Aquarius. Cafe Marronniers is a...bistro which in good weather, has staked out a corner of the square with colorfully decorated tables and bright umbrellas. Locals Buzet wine, especially the rose', is delicious with a seafood salad, and about a bottle. of us all had salads. Several seafood varieties. Cheerful service, and prompt. Bottle wine plus entree plus cafe/tea about per couple.

We went here on two occasions whilst staying locally. The tables are set out in the little square opposite the restaurant and the atmosphere is great with strings of coloured lights hanging in the trees. When it's busy the service is a little slow but...that doesn't matter too much if you've come here for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The dishes are good value. I'd recommend the seafood dishes as I think they had much more flavour (I had scallops and king prawns) but that's my personal taste. My husband and daughter had steak and really enjoyed it. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. This is a great place, good value, for families or couples. View menu
