"Me the Mrs are cruising on the Baise in a canal boat, we decided to moor our boat here as it was near the supermarket. The mooring is attached to the restaurant so we decided to eat here. I absolutely loved it so did the mrs. Simple food cooked delivered to perfection. Service was not super fast but the perfect pace for our evening. I had the rabbit terrine the Mrs had a bacon, walnut apple salad. Both were clean fresh not heavy. For Main we both had ‘perch pike’ which We’d both never had before it was delicious, crispy battered (I think) skin meaty tender fish. Special mention for the mash which was as light buttery as any I’ve ever had anywhere. For desert we both had ‘creme brûlée’ which we both agreed was one of the most well balanced best we’d ever had. Superb value at 18 Euro each. We had a recommended bottle of wine too which was the best bottles we’ve had at a restaurant in France so far. Highly recommend. We’re staying the night at the mooring as it’s a lovely spot too."
