What an absolutely wonderful find. I can't praise the courtyard highly enough, excellent food, lovely atmosphere all at a very reasonable price. Thank you, we will be back next time we are in the area.

Fabulous family run restaurant in the heart of Wells. Friendly staff and excellent produce cooked to perfection. As the name suggests it’s in a courtyard just off a Main Street with numerous other restaurants but well worth seeking out. You’ll not be disappointed!

We enjoyed wonderful food, and a great service. We had the 'specials ' menu which really was extremely good value. Just one point my husband and I both found the room very chilly which did spoil our enjoyment. However, if we had mentioned this to them on the night, they could have provided a radiator nearer to us. View menu

The restaurant has a nice and relaxed atmosphere, with a great menu offering a selection of delicious, high-quality food. The dishes were well-presented and served hot, unlike many other places that often serve slightly warm food. The staff was lovely and the prices were reasonable, making it a good value for the experience.

We dined at this restaurant right before heading to a concert at Wells Cathedral. The location was perfect, the host was great, and the food was absolutely amazing considering the price. The moules mariniere was particularly delicious! We will definitely be dining here again the next time we visit Wells, and we visit quite often as we are located in Bath.

This restaurant is ideally situated in the middle of Wells town. It has a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. The food is absolutely stunning, has to be one of the Best Sunday lunch with a great selection of freshly cooked vegetables. Also vegetarian options. The staff are friendly with superb service. Have been here before, when visited the City at Christmastime. Fabulous Restaurant, in a sleepy backwater of Wells. Exceptional food, as usual; Staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue, was the background music as it was Christmas, it would have been good to have some seasonal music, rather than 'pop! ' Sad news that the current Owner is selling up let 's hope the new one continues with the high reputation, as they can be so easily lost.

The restaurant has a friendly staff and great service. We opted for the two-course set menu priced at £20. However, we were quite surprised to find only one piece of potato offered per person despite the menu stating otherwise. The food itself was of good quality, but they should consider increasing the portion size of the potatoes. The restaurant was also quite cold, as it has been on previous visits. It would be beneficial for them to invest in more radiators to keep their customers warm.

This is an excellent restaurant in the Centre of Wells, very near the Cathedral. They accommodated my friends and I for Sunday lunch even though they were fully booked. It was my friends birthday and we were a party of 12. Everyone really enjoyed their lunch which was the best Sunday lunch I had had for a very long time. I am vegetarian and their nut roast was to die for. I would definately recommend booking this restaurant if you visit wells. I am going to next time I visit Wells. Also the decor was quaint too and all the staff were very helpful and happy. View menu
