"A family ordered the following today. Beer-good. Garlic shrimp-tasty, small portions. Chicken wings with potato-good flavor/portions. Octopus-decent flavor, cooked well, good portions. My wife ordered red shrimp -smelled very fishy and it was inedible. I smelled it and it AND SMELLED BAD. The owner argued with us and ate a piece in front of the other patrons and took my wife inside to show her a sign in Spanish which proved nothing. A local translated and said they have to freeze the stuff to keep it fresh. Totally understand, but the shrimp was bad and he tried to convince us otherwise. 3/4 dishes were ok. He did take it off our bill because we didn 't eat it. Would recommend adopting the customer is always right attitude , even with a language barrier, instead of belittling us in front of a crowd of patrons. We appreciate the overall service but this is the first time we have had to return food because it was risky as shellfish poisoning is no joke."

The food, from tapeo, was very good. the only thing they didn't have a lot of variety because some things in the letter didn't have them.

The tortilla here is fenomenal, but don't go too early as they start serving it around 11 am and no sooner. The owner is quick and friendly. If you are near Puerta de Toledo I would recommend stopping in. Great prices as well!!

Dinner here was included in the price of the tour we were on but was very disappointing in that our choice of food was limited. I had a salad to start which consisted of mainly lettuce with some tomatoes and pieces of tuna, followed by fish and chips and a coffee. Not the best meal I have had and would not return to this place. View menu

Nice service and very good Spanish fare at reasonable prices. I had one dish that stood out: judias con jamon. This is broad green beans dressed with slivers of Spanish ham, and it was absolutely delicious. So memorable that I forget exactly what else we had. Portions run large, and light eaters (not me) can economize by ordering less a splitting.

We were hungry and looking. We were attracted to this place by the beautiful building it is located in and the fact the place next door was deserted and this one was packed. A no-brainer. it had an Italian name and we were in Madrid, right? But we were ready for anything tasty. The great surprise came when we realized the place serves Spanish regional food. The fava bean soup was terrific, and so was the Lubiana. The maitre d’ was fantastic and was helpful with the choice of wines.
