"Don't normally like English pubs abroad but this is a really nice place to go for a drink. Right in the old town it has a small, low entrance but is bigger inside than you think. Cast, relaxed atmosphere. You can order at the bar. Good range of french and foreign beers - La chouffe is delicious but dangerously strong (and expensive). Definitely recommend"

For me, the highlight is the frame, I love it! There is a wide variety in the drinks card and the staff is very pleasant.

Just wanted a couple of drinks had to chase up and eventually got them. Waitress stood over me whilst I paid. Gave me a look as I did not tip. Surprised see certificate of excellence. View menu

Well worth the trouble of finding this bar deep in the centre of the pedestrian area. Very impressive range of European beers on tap plus even bigger list of bottled ale / lager. In addition food was first class for bar food. My cheese (reblochon) burger c/w fries

Decided to pop in for a drink only, there was a large group of guys who were noisy but sounded that they were celebrating. Ordered a beer and coffee took over 20 minutes to arrive, in that time was asked by another waiter what we wanted to drink first and last time this holiday.

"We had a weird feeling about this restaurant when we were given 2 menu books WITHOUT any price at first. Turned out that their gastronomic pricing didn't match their brasserie standard at all. My friend asked a couple of questions about some dishes, the waiter...was very puzzled and passive, said a couple of times that he didn't know. After that, we were served some kind of MUSHY OLD bread before the meal. If this was a sign of welcoming from the owner, then he failed right there. In our main courses, apart from the meat and fish ingredients, each of us got half of a small potato, 1 small stick of leek, 1 lonely cauliflower, some smashed petit pois with the size of a small coffee capsule, and 1 line of smashed carrot. Looks like the quantity one would place on a plate of a gastronomic restaurant with 8 courses, except that this is NOT a gastronomic restaurant, from the plastic menu, the furniture, the old bread, the cutleries, the different menu pricing and the service which failed to describe the dishes. The worst part, was when the waiter came and asked us if everything went well, I gave him the feedback that the food was good but the veggie was way too little. He first proposed us to eat more dessert, then when I said no, he got so upset and defensive that he even pointed at the kitchen telling me that I should go to see the chef and discuss with him myself. Why bother asking your client how their meal was if you can't receive a candid feedback? Being a frequent traveller, coming from the hospitality industry, I have to say this place is to AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Unless you have too much money and eating next to a canval is way more important than being treated in a disrespectful manner, and leaving the restaurant with a happy stomach."
