"I was enthusiastic in getting to Paco, according to the reviews on TripAdvisor, and willing to taste its famous Paella. I've been living in Spain for a time, and know rather well the difference between a good paella and a "touristic" one.The disappointment was enormous. The rice was blatantly overcooked and with no flavour. The shellfish was of low quality and not so fresh. This is even more insulting thinking about the high price (26€ per person) they ask for this "speciality".When, after having asked the bill, I tried to comment with the waiter (who asked "all right?") about the reasons of my disappointment he listened for two seconds and simply went away with the money: customer care is probably a remote concept for this place.I did not try other food there, but if this is their publicised speciality... reach your own conclusions!"

The Paella looks amazing but tastes of little. More wine, more fish and more lemon would do a wonder to the otherwise good ingrediens..

With so many great places to eat in Il Rousse, this popular place is pretty mediocore. I had the Parillade de poissons and the fishes were either a little overdone or not too fresh. Too few waiters on a busy night.

The thing with this place is said to be the paella, it it’s really nothing special. It’s well prepared with fresh ingredients but the lack of spices is imminent. Wine was good. Service is slow but welcoming. This place seems overrated.

Had a great meal here, with paella's being their speciality. Very tasty and to be honest would have been enough for 4 people, even though we ordered for 2. Very friendly staff and in a nice location. Would certainly recommend if you like Paella

We had the fish paella which was much enjoyed. However, the menu wasn't clear on pricing for this which said 26€ but we didn't realise this was each. Smaller price would be better together with smaller portions (regrettably we had to leave some).

We travel plenty, we eat out often our explorations around the globe. Thrilled that we found this little gem. If Paella is your thing please don't miss this spot. The service was fantastic, the food was very generous (it beat my wife and I) If you are looking for an authentic experience in the old town then drop in for a gastro treat!

Our favourite restaurant of our honeymoon. Unbeatable Italian food and fish. The Corsican customers are very passionate about this restaurant. Friendly, family service from a restaurant where mum and aunt are the cooks, son is the manager and daughter does the service in grandpa's restaurant. And the ex-husband provides the limoncello! Unbeatable atmosphere. We made a special trip just for the fresh seafood pasta.

The restaurant is very nice and quiet, in the main road of old Ile Rousse near the port and the sea.People is very kind and helpful.Paella is very good and rich of fish, also quantity is enough for hard eaters! If you are not able to finish the food you can ask to bring at home in a box.Would give 5, but for me wasn't cooked perfect, some salt was missing and sangria is a bit expensive (6€/glass).However it's a good place to go.

Friends warmly suggested us to try the paella at Chez Paco and finally we did it.One paella is totally enough for 2 persons. You can do doggy bag if you want to eat it also the day after at home, as we did because was really too much...4 portions! (don't say 1 paella for 2 persons! Stay on the one portions and maybe try some antipasti). We tried the fish one and was fresh and good. Maybe a bit overcooked the rice and over spicy too, but really tasty. We can say: try it if you like paella, but don't expect a life changing experience. It's a good meal, the staff is great, the location really nice (bring a little jacket though, could be a bit chilly) and make the reservation during high season.
