"We waited a long time to be offered drinks, then waited a long time for the drinks to arrive only to be brought 1 drink because the wine I ordered wasn’t available. Chose a different wine then waited a long time for that drink. However fortunately I always check my bill because I had been charged for both glasses of wine even though 1 of them wasn’t even available!!!!! Duly taken off my bill!!!! Price per person: £10–20"

Last minute decision to visit and decided to use money off voucher. Often visit vintage inns and never let you down. Friendly staff and nice surroundings. Bit cold though and when queried staff advised there was a problem with the heating. Wheelchair accessibility: Visited once with mum in wheelchair and was easy enough to access from rear of building although the area you enter is fairly small. Price per person: £20–30

"Our first experience at a Zizzi… We arrived at 12:30 on a Saturday expecting the place to be packed but happily we managed to get a table straight away we had a nice booth tucked away in the corner. I visited the toilets first of all which, let me just say.. the corridor definitely took me by surprise! Each toilet is in its own little room with your own personal sink, I think it’s the best way to have public toilets. First of all, we ordered drinks which was 2x glass bottle cokes which are the best type our drinks came with a complimentary portion of pasta crisps. We ordered a cheesy garlic bread without the caramelised onions for starter which arrived pre sliced and was really delicious, it could’ve done with a little more cheese though. For mains, my partner had spaghetti bolognese and I had the pepperoni campagna pizza with added chicken. The pizza was delicious, a little unbalanced on the toppings, it was nice and full on the right side of the pizza compared to the left side but I was full by the time I reached that side anyway! Bonus points for the mini pizza cutter, that was brilliant. The food was generally good, my partner said the spaghetti needed a little salt to bring the flavour out but it was a good sized portion and both meals were made with quality ingredients. During the main course, I ordered a couple of “softail” drinks; the Pineapple Punch and the Passion Fruitini I wasn’t very impressed with these, they were far too sweet and mostly filled with ice, I just expected more for from two drinks that cost £9.90. The staff were generally friendly, we did keep hearing one of the chefs shouting at one of his co workers, something about a metal bowl but he was very loud and aggressive not something you want to have on show if you’re going to have a open kitchen in your restaurant. We used the QR code to pay our bill which was a nice and easy way to do it."
