"The restaurant was cold inside at 7pm. Cushions were provided for the chairs as they were hard wood. The food was nice, but we found that the restaurant Lanterna the night before had much better food. The service was slightly rushed, as we hadn't even chosen our food or drinks when we were asked. The staff had a nice manner while waiting on us. Overall, we felt that the price of £91 for only two courses and a gin each was a bit high, especially since neither of us had the steak. We decided to leave a 12.5% tip (£10), but we think this should be added automatically for tables of 4 or more, not just a table for two. We visited on a cold wet miserable summer night. Clark's provided a great antidote to the British weather. Service was great; food quality, presentation and taste were amazing. This is Michelin star cooking at a sensible price. Next time I'm in Scarborough it will be the first place I book.
