"Went for a weeknight dinner, I've not been for a few years and it's definitely much improved! Food was great and really well presented, service really friendly. Food came out much quicker than I expected given the fancy presentation. Free bread rolls were served, it was a nice touch but we didn't really need them as the portion sizes were great. There were not many vegetarian options. Vegans would struggle to find anything exciting. That being said, the mushroom cannelloni (pictured) was a really lovely dish and I would recommend it to anyone. Gammon egg and chips was really good, and a huge portion. Desserts were beautifully presented and delicious. My only recommend to the pub is get a door closer for the gents toilet, as the door was ajar throughout our meal."

Came today as a group of 7. Gorgeous food and lovely service. Best roast we have all had out and very fresh. Our 5yr old ordered from the kids menu and it was nice that she could have the same fresh veg that we did. A very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Already booked up for our pre Christmas get together. Thank you. Highly recommended.

very friendly staff. reduced menu, but every amount of choice. eating came hot and was all good. lamb hotpot was particularly good. large parts. the restaurant was quite quiet and was cold in the temperature, so it was a cooler visit. I'm sure if it had been more business, it wouldn't have felt cold, but the meal didn't spoil. visited with friends and we will visit again. View menu

a Thursday night with my wife and I the only people, but we were early starters at 17:30 hours. very quiet, but this is a bonus and the service was very focused and respectfully excellent customer orientation. eating was fantastic and very full, so no place for plucking. the access and parking to the pub was easy. the price-performance ratio was 5 stars. I recommend the coach and the horses in midgham and they will not be disappointed.

Lovely looking roadside pub. Nice feel to the the place Inside. Decorated quite nicely. We went in on a Sunday lunch. Apparently all they do on a Sunday is a roast dinner. The roast was a tad disappointing. It took almost 45 minutes to arrive. The presentation was nice on the plate. But the roast potatoes were undercooked. I had the Pork, and it was slices of packet pork, as it was from a supermarket! Heavily overcooked which made it chewy and dry. The rest of the food was quite reasonable! The beef was to a pretty good standard. All in all an OK experience, but won't be rushing back for a roast.
