"we were very happy to discover that they had a separate vegan menu that had some great options. one we tried, was the butternut squash and sweet potato tart, which was really good the baked was well held together and the sweet was exactly right. the restaurant has a panoramic view of the river teign, in which it did it directly at the river and at the high flood (it is within the flut) they can sail directly to the restaurant and moor at their web. the only part was the very slow service we were not lacking on the personal or busy they were very slow. a shame, because the food and the situation are a protruding."

We were already familiar with the restaurant. We requested a table by the window and our request was granted. The staff was welcoming and attentive. View menu

We really enjoy Coombe Cellars. However, today was extremely busy and the food service was quite slow. It took an hour for our food to be served. The staff was very friendly though. I can only assume they were short-staffed at the start of Easter week.

Greeted with a smile and guided to a table with a view. Excellent service without pressure for drinks and food. One meal Cod Chips was above average in quality, three meals Half Chicken just about scraped in to average. The price of wine is extortionate. Two of settled for a pint of beer, one drank Diet Coke and the other tap water only.

beautiful pub. saw outside through the river that takes the magnificent view. my son and I had the vegan burger. the best burger I've had for a long time. her tomatenrelish was something else. fast service, good beer, beautiful environment. good portions. not the cheapest (burger was £12,95) we were too, but that was eating on it. also parking. After a worrying start as they couldn’t find my reservation but I had a confirmation email and text the staff didn’t make it a big deal and made us very comfortable and welcome as it was not only New Year’s Day but my partners birthday! Food fantastic, views around beautiful and staff lovely! Thank you and will definitely be back in the summer as I live local but first time visiting

The restaurant offers stunning riverside/estuary views, especially during high tide. There is ample parking available in a peaceful location. The menu is excellent and the food is tasty, although my companion's main course (sea bass with too many potatoes and pureed peas) was bland and disappointing. The prices are reasonable. The service was great, provided by a friendly and attentive female student. We plan on returning, despite some disappointment. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would give it an 8 out of 10.

"Myself and my family have been to the pizza cafè on various occasions over the past 5 to 10 years. I remember going with my parents from a young age on a Saturday or Sunday as a treat and in my adulthood visiting a few times. Each time I’ve gone sadly the character and standards of the place have continued to decline. The food is average although the prices are still rising, and the service can be quite poor. The pizzas used to be a lot tastier (and bigger), it all seemed fresher, served with a smile and fairly quickly… however on my last visit after being seated me and my partner waited a good 15minutes to be asked which drinks we’d like to order in which case we had already decided what we wanted to eat and quickly ordered not knowing how much longer we’d have to wait for someone to come and take our order again. Then nearly 45mins to an hour later our food arrived! We almost walked out at one point. It wasn’t particularly busy this night either. We had slow service, the food was not worth the price, and we also seemed to be waiting a lot because of a seemingly new staff member not knowing what to do and keeping asking for advice or simply handing it over to someone else which unfortunately I think is what happened to us. I appreciate people have to learn but there should have been a better system in place for someone to help out rather than cause a disruption on a Friday night which could have been a lot busier and caused more delay. I would probably go here again but my expectations are tainted unfortunately."
