"We have been dining at the Copley Arms for several years and it has always been a reliable spot for good food. However, since the management has changed, the quality of the meals seems to be on the decline. During our visit on Sunday 2nd June for lunch, my wife ordered the turkey and I had the lamb. The dishes were nicely presented but unfortunately arrived barely warm on cold plates. The turkey was dry and the vegetables were enjoyable, except for the cabbage which was practically raw and cold. The lamb serving was generous but dry and lacked flavor, making it tough and tasteless. After expressing our disappointment, we did receive an apology."

Unfortunately our meal was very disappointing -the hamburger was full of gristle…very few mushrooms in the linguine-sauce was vinegary …

The food standard was poor, coffee was terrible and atmosphere very noisy. Not a good experience. Have been to Copley Arms several times and had good food with a great atmosphere, could not work out what has changed. Is there a new owner?

Walked in for an early evening meal with our dog. Very nice greeting. The pub is nicely decorated inside the outside area would be amazing in the Summer I’m sure) The pub area was very busy. Not a massive menu but quite varied. My BBQ pork was good and my wife’s lamb mint pie was excellent. Good choice of beer too. Quite a reasonable price

Good food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. The food came out well decorated and hot and it was nicely seasoned. My only one tiny little ‘issue’ if you can call it that, was the service bell was loud where we were sitting (more towards the end of the restaurant) but I understand it’s for staff to hear when food is ready. It was a little bit of a conversation interruption!

We stopped here on our way back to our campsite. Turned out to be the best food we had in a very long time...friendly welcome and atmosphere. Dog was welcomed in which is really helpful. Food was incredible (steak was perfect and the pie of the day was mouth watering). Price was more than we would usually pay but worth every penny! Young chef answered our questions about ingredients and was humble about our compliments. Overall a great dining experience. View menu

We discovered this charming pub by chance and ended up returning multiple times during our trip to Cornwall. It was clear that both tourists and locals enjoyed the atmosphere, which is usually a positive sign. The beer garden, located by the river, was quite beautiful and featured a small play area for children. Despite this, the overall ambiance was peaceful and relaxing. Although we didn't try any food from the menu, it looked enticing. The staff members were consistently friendly. We would certainly recommend this establishment.

We decided to support local and tried the nearby village pub for Sunday roast. Unfortunately, it was a mistake. The service was poor, with staff more focused on their phones than customers. The starter was good, but the roast pork we both ordered was served cold and unappetizing, with everything just thrown on the plate. We had to wait for cutlery and when asked if everything was okay, I replied with a resounding NO. It was the worst roast dinner I have ever had, and at £17, it was a waste. Luckily, our dog enjoyed it for his dinner. We will not be returning or recommending this place. Thankfully, in Cornwall, you can't go wrong with a pasty.

"So let us share our experience, We went in tonight as a family after seeing that it home made food on the drive to sennen and looked online and had a good look at the food available on the menu also looking to see if it was dog friendly and it ticked all the boxes, Upon arrival me and my wife went in 1st to ask if we could have a table for food and if dogs can go inside and staff were a little unsure but they confirmed we could upon asking for a table for 7 but one in a pram he said we don’t have the availability to cater I was looking at a table big enough and eventually said that this table was available whilst being seated we had 2 table one clean and the 2nd just been finished with so needed a clean but he came and cleaned both tables and he squirted the cleaner on a clean table and the over spray bounced off the table and went over our selfs then we were handed a menu freshly printed A4 paper thrown on the table (WET TABLE) so they stuck to the table upon agreeing what we wanted we went to the bar within 2-3 mins of being seated we knew what we wanted and when we asked for the meal it was OUT OF STOCK (Sunday lunch) ok fair so as I was with a family member at the bar I quickly rushed back to the table to ask my daughter of an alternative she wasn’t happy, So I made a meal up of all the extras on the menu so I went back to the bar to find my family member ordered 2 fish and chips then I realised my wife also wanted Sunday lunch so I quickly rushed back to ask her what she wanted and went back to the bar just as my family member left and asked for fish and chips was also sold out also! 99% of the menu was SOLD OUT this should of been discussed upon arrival not as we were ordering I run and operate my own business and this isn’t how I would treat my customers this isn’t how an establishment should be ran! Even when I was standing trying to order a member of staff was standing there arm against the wall doing nothing while customers are standing waiting to be served! So we decided not to eat and my family member went back to the bar to ask for a refund as we couldn’t eat as a family and the staff were iffy about offering a refund but 10 minutes later they did refund my family member as it became a scene for other people as they could see what had happened! This establishment should be call the 1st and late time you come here! We ended up walking to the chip shop down the road for food we are very disappointed in this company and establishment! For anyone who wants to eat please make sure they HAVE STOCK how can this establishment run without stock? Never again tonight they lost over £200 revenue due to this situation!"
