"Having dined there on the 16th March 2017, I can understand why the Couloir has such a good reputation in Val Claret. There was a short wait for a table but at least we got in! The service was excellent and the food was exceptional. The veal was mouth watering. Upstairs the ambiance of the restaurant is quite quaint but downstairs the bar area was more reminiscent of an English pub. Book early to get a table if you wish to eat there. All food and drink is expensive in Tignes but this was not too bad considering the quality of the meal and service we experienced."

English run bar and restaurant. Great ambience. Fantastic service. Outstanding food (not cheap as you would expect for real quality). Book to avoid disappointment as the restaurant is cosy .

Went to the restaurant on the last night of the trip based upon its current status and having a look round earlier in the week Absolutely fantastic food and service, could not find fault!!!!!!

Lovely restaurant over a very lively bar area. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Don't be put off by the lively bar as the restaurant is very rustic and suprisingly quiet.

The Couloir is a great bar but also a wonderful restaurant. Went for a family birthday with a group aged 5 to 75 and had a really enjoyable meal. Can highly recommend the scallops, duck, and the beef cheeks. No kids menu but they all loved the burgers and some were tempted to try something new and none were disappointed. Great wine recommendation.

Looks like a dive bar from the outside, but the restaurant upstairs is quiet, and serves great food. They concentrate on just a few dishes and they are all very good. I'd book to be sure to get a table, the place seems English run and popular with English people. They also give a loyalty card that gives 10% of your bill back on it that you can then spend on good or drink in the future. Didn't experience the bar.

Thought it was only a bar showing sky sports, till we went to its first floor Resteraunt, seriously good well presented food at fair prices, the menu may be limited, but why cook 20 things badly when you can do 8 very, very well, and it looked so good Try this place you won't be disappointed and you will be pleased with the billOhh and the staff are pleasant, mainly British and they are responsive and enthusiastic

As Tignes Val Claret frequent visitors, we actually hadn't ever been here. Friends had recommended we go during our ski holiday this Easter. Lovely! Food we had was excellent as was the service. Some of the other dishes we observed being served to other guests looked equally amazing!!!The price was equivalent to most restaurants we visited but the quality was all together far superior. Would throughly recommend Couloir restaurant to visitors to Val Claret.

Great food for all, including veggies and a gluten free member of our party. The crew (especially Christian) could not have been more helpful with an advanced booking and menu choice from the UK. The informal and intimate atmosphere in the upstairs restaurant really made the evening. The food really was fabulous. I would certainly recommend to anyone going to Tignes. It is a short free bus ride from Tignes Le Lac where we stayed. Certainly a 5 star experience. Thanks guys!!

Great bar with friendly helpful staff. Also the most reasonable prices in Tignes (still resort prices but acceptable).Get your self a loyalty card and sit back and enjoy the various happy hours, apres ski live music and live sport. We had lunch here once and the food was excellent and well priced. The restaurant also looked very good but we were unable to get in (don't be like us book in advance). If you are in Tignes Val Claret for a week make this you Apres base of operations.
