"I have wanted to go to Homeslice for some time now, after seeing the size of huge slices from fellow bloggers on Instagram. This week, a last minute impromptu dinner date landed me here and I honestly cannot believe I haven’t been before. Stepping inside you’re greeted by a burning furnace of fire, their massive wood-fired oven. Stupidly, we decided to sit at the bar right in front of this beast. Two cold pints of beer were ordered to try and stop my face from reflecting a pizza slice and melting on the bar. The menu offers a range of different pizza toppings, and you can order three of the pizzas by slice for £4. A whole pizza will set you back £20, but trust me when you see the size of these bad boys you’ll realise the price is reasonable. A whole pizza is big enough to share between two people and you can choose two toppings and do half and half. Normally I’m a big peperoni fan, they do have a salami option and it did look pretty tasty. However, I was feeling daring, so opted for something a little different. We went for half and half and had the aubergine, cauliflower cheese, spinach and harissa and oxtail, watercress, horseradish and sorrel cream toppings. Aubergine and cauliflower cheese had a delicious sauce, cheesy and creamy. If you like a good savoury mouthful this is the one for you. The aubergine gave an added texture with the harissa giving a smoky, yet subtle kick. The oxtail had a lovely tomato base and the meat itself gave a nice depth of flavour to each bite. I’m not a fan of horseradish, so wasn’t sure what it would taste like with sorrel as a cream. It was extremely good and not overpowering and cleansing to the palate. The pizza here is colossal! Each slice was bigger than my head, the dough was salty, but in a really good way, not too much. The fact that they sell by the slice is a great idea. If I was drunk and fortunate enough to stumble across Homeslice, I’d be a very happy drunk person. I think this is possibly the best pizza in London. Anyone in disagreement, please feel free to contact me. Homeslice has a buzzy and good vibe about the place, but very chilled and relaxed. It is a great place to hang out with friends, sup some beer and demolish pizza. The waiting team were all extremely friendly and it’s cool to be able to watch your pizza get made right in front of you. If you like pizza, lots of pizza, then you need to get your teenage mutant turtle bums down here!"

This restaurant is excellent! I really enjoyed the unique and delicious pizza combinations. It's a great spot to share the famous giant pizzas with friends.

AMAZING pizza! Thin and crispy base with tasty toppings. Pizzas are huge (20in) and cost about £24. Make sure you book as it gets really busy. Service was a bit slow but we went there on a Saturday evening.

a great, unfuses, simple menu. the mushroom and ricotta pizza was all I could do, and it was delicious and loaded with toppings. very expensive, but overall good pizza experience for a late weekend in shoreditch.

The afternoon was pleasant overall. The atmosphere was a bit odd, but it added to the charm of the place. However, a major issue was the unexpected 12.5% service charge included in the bill. I paid it without realizing and no one informed me. It was very disappointing and I doubt I will return because of this experience. It felt like a dishonest move.

As a big pizza fan, and having tried my fair amount of pizza in East London, I can say that Homeslice is definitely one of the bet, if not the best. The flavours available are unique, the service is friendly, efficient and relaxed even when it gets super busy (you might have to wait a while on weekends . Downstairs they also have a cocktail bar and make great Kiwi Margeritas :

Went there with a group of friends for a chilled evening. Place has a good vibe, with friendly waiters and waitresses, and I recommend the lower level as it keeps things morr intimate. One thing has had to be said right off the bat: the pizzas are enormous. 5 of us struggled to eat the 3 pizzas we ordered. But it was a tasty struggle indeed. I would suggest trying half-and-half, as a way to try the different toppings they offer. The dough is really good, thin, not too crispy, and with some olive oil just hits the right notes. I had beer so I cannot attest for the cocktails there, but both the lager and the pale ale were good, the lager being better. Service was good but on a Saturday night i...

Good thin crust pizza. We tried to attend the first night of their packed soft launch but didn't feel like the half hour wait for a table and got some slices to take home instead. Incidentally they are running their soft launch until December 4 2015. So its 50% off food for both eat in and take away today. We had a few slices of the margherita and a few of the salami+rocket+parmesan. We didn't manage to try the more novel toppings because they only offer their most popular pizzas by the slice. The classics we did get tasted authentically Neapolitan especially due to the restrained used of cheese. Tomato sauce was very light and fresh with no hint of tinned puree or dried herbs. I liked the c...

pizza is one of my things, I love it when it's good. I am not a domino or pizza hat art by gal because they taste terrible with their dodgy tasting tomato sauce, kongealed cheese, recently defrosted toppings and in the ground, the most fake damn pizza they ever get. I guess if their taste shops are not so refined, or it is one of those drunk ‘is the only thing open’ late night jobbys, they can overlook this. I can't. which is also aggrieves when you find that great place and service let it down. we start with the ones I like. george vulture pub in hoxton, pizza pilgrum and amici miei, the latter is the one who really annoyed me a few months ago. deliveroo, they do not show their deliveries l...
