Booked this venue last min what a find the landlord was a friendly very funny guy called me mother lol . The food was excellent good service dog friendly to will be visiting again highly recommend this pub

Over large, over cooked portions. No human should be encouraged to eat that much food. Even worse is something called the Megalodon Challenge which appears to be three meals to eat in an hour. Honestly no necessary.

We booked tables for our daughter’s birthday and I have nothing but praise. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding. What a wonderful village pub with amazing food. Well worth a visit.

Lovely bar staff but they were abused and humiliated in front of customers when we ordered our food. The landlord would not speak to us as he informed us he was busy so we promptly left after having no food as he made us minutes before we could order.

Twice now in as many weeks had below par food. Simple request for two meals , both mid week visits. Late menus minutes for food to find it was wrong! Young staff flapping and grumbling at long hours, no breaks and no food Tables...left unclean and uncleared Goodness it can't be that hard to give a good service!

This place has gone straight downhill. There has been chefs that have left, from what we have heard. The landlord came out of the kitchen, and was so rude to the customer. Apart from that, he was not dressed to be in the kitchen....He had a vest top on and shorts, with blood running down his leg. In my career in a kitchen, we had to wear Chef whites, as a rule. I think this restaurant is dirty

My wife and I reserved an outside table and and visited last weekend. My wife ordered a Fish Finger Sandwich and I ordered Cod and Chips (Large) The service was excellent , meals were served promptly , and both were incredible !!! I had ordered...a large meal but I was blown away by the size when it arrived !!! It was huge and every item cooked to total perfection , The Triple Cooked Chips were to die for ! and the biggest Cod I have ever seen was out of this World !! My wife also thoroughly enjoyed her meal and the value for money was nearly as impressive as the food ! I can't wait to revisit !!!!

Having passed the All Welcome' sign on our way in, we were warmly greeted by bar staff. A woman in the corner then said, quite rudely, excuse me, where are your masks We replied, we are exempt She responded, you're supposed to have lanyards to...which we answered we don't need them We have no obligation to highlight our unseen disabilities, all other establishments we have encountered accept our exemption as soon as we have declared it without making us feel discriminated against. The bar staff explained the woman was their manager, confirmed that they know not to challenge after someone says they are exempt, and apologised on her behalf. Having parked in the village and been on a walk for a couple of hours my sister and I decided to lunch at the Crispin inn. It was a beautiful hot afternoon and one of the young ladies found us a seat out front and...put the umbrella up for us. The service was definitely friendly. Our food and drinks were brought out promptly. I had a ploughman’s and my sister ordered Halloumi burger and chips. Portions of both meals were good. The burger and chips went down well but the onion rings were too greasy to eat. The ploughman’s consisted of a slice of pork pie a lump of cheese slices of ham small pickled onions pots of pickles and slices of buttered bread that could have been a Tesco white sliced....
