"Cubaña is a great place to go out for a meal or a drinks whether you live locally or you're travelling through Hanau. The staff speak English for those ex-pats that haven't quite got the hang of German yet. Monday and Wednesday nights they have a special on their burgers, which are all one price (about €5 including fries). The Jack Daniels burger is extremely tasty, but we also enjoy the chilli burger. If you have a dog then they will always bring it a bowl of water.Cocktail happy hour starts at 10 PM every night and is worth waiting around for if you get there early. If more than two of you are going then you'll need to make a reservation any time after 7 PM because it gets really busy. No smoking inside but there is a covered smoking area outside if you require it.Location is easy to get to - it's a 1 minute walk from Freihatsplatz."

The Christmas buffet had a large selection, even if not everything was homemade. All in all, everything tasted very good and apart from those who only ate a pretzel and a donut, we got our money's worth

It has become a tradition among the interns of Evonik in nearby Hanau, Wolfgang to spend a relaxing evening at Cubana every Wednesday night. Cubana is conveniently located right off Freiheitsplatz and features many German beers with tacos, fajitas, nachos, and some really amazing burgers. The burgers are discounted on Wednesday's and the atmosphere is great for a small break in the middle of the work week. The restaurant has some of the best food in the downtown Hanau area and be sure to make a reservation if you plan on arriving at meal times. Definitely a great place to eat and drink!
