"We had not been to Novus recently but decided to go again when we saw the menu. We had always gone as part of a group but this time just the two of us went. When we arrived we were surprised to see that there were just six other people dining, although a group of seven young people who had not booked turned up. Anyway my wife had asparagus with poached egg which she said was very good. I had scallops which came with both mustard and hollandaise sauces the former was rather overwhelmed by the latter but overall it was pretty good. We both had belly pork which we enjoyed but the crackling could have been more, well, crackling: it came with kale, butternut squash purée and black pudding mash. Fir dessert, my wife had an excellent Eton mess and I had an interesting cucumber and ginger sorbet with grilled water melon turned out to be pretty good. The service was not that slick and the food was not perfect but given that it is cooked and served by students and only costs £16, it would be pretty churlish to give it anything other than an ‘excellent’ score."

What a great job the students have done tonight. Indian night and an excellent meal it was. Give the place a try. It’s a 10 out of 10 from me.

We came for a tapas lunch with family. The choice was exceptional, and cooked to perfection. I had gambas and calamari, which were incredible and so tasty. Service was great. We had a fabulous time and the price was exceptional, for the high quality food served.

We had lunch today at the Novus Restaurant in the Kings Lynn College. The food was excellent and the price and service outstanding. The food is prepared and served by trainee chefs but don't let that put you off , they turnout some fabulous dishes at a very reasonable price.

The theme was 'American Night ' We opted for popcorn chicken for starters.which arrived in good time. Our waitress Mia was charming and attentive. I chose the vegetarian option,which was the halloumi burger and fries.Arrived in good time,really tasty and well presented.Saved the best till last.... Key lime pie. Mia said she made it. Delicious. Thoughly enjoyable evening. A lot of effort had made to set the scene. The volume was just right, enabling us to chat. Look forward to a returning soon.

Please see previous review once we realised the menu had changed we should have left a friend was with us and struggled to find something he liked. We have visited before and have been so pleased so we were disappointed Tuesday night. Also the duck that was served had chilli in it and there had been no mention of this. We all agreed the service was excellent (but more information should be given to servers so they know exactly what is in the dishes) and the desserts were our best dishes of the evening. We know everyone is learning and it is a really good establishment just a few tweaks needed!

Tonight, Tuesday, we visited the restaurant with two friends, menu had changed to when we had booked. Beef ran out, not a whole piece of salmon, cut in half. My friend said on other occasions this had not happened. Had to choose things we were not really happy with. Salmon had no potato or veg, a let down, have better at home! The person we had serving did not know a dessert spoon to a serving spoon, surely this is taught? My friend visit often, said she had not come up against this before, with food running out and changing menu, not good when you do not eat certain things. Starters, chicken had ran out as well! We have been here many times and have never been disappointed and last night was no exception. We meet with friends regularly and try different restaurants locally, this time I suggested Novus and they were blown away by the whole experience. Due to it being the first night back after half term, we were the only diners in the restaurant however this did not impinge on the quality or quantity of our food. The bread was cooked to perfection . My starter was up there for one of the best I’ve ever had. Bubble and squeak with a slice of crispy bacon with a perfect poached egg on top.
