"I love Die Theke. It is a traditional German pub with a wide selection of different German beers, some local, some from further afield. The food is good too - they have some of the usual things you would expect such as Kasespatzle, various bratwursts, schnitzels etc. but they also do some nice salads, pizzas and steaks. The staff are friendly and efficient and the place has a nice atmosphere. It can get very busy when there is sport on, but it's great if you like a lively atmosphere. The kitchen stays open until 11pm, so you can get late food too."

Super Kneipe, über das Essen kann ich nichts sagen. Ich war nur zum Bier trinken dort. Die Bedienungen waren sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Ich bin nicht zum letzten Mal hier.

We had the Tuesday special which was a very good portion of schnitzel and chips for a reasonable price. They have the usual beer on the menu. The fact that most of the staff only speak German and no English menu is available is a bit of a problem. View menu

Wir gehen sehr gerne zum Fußballschauen in die Theke, da ist das Ambiente immer super. Man sollte aber abends einen Tisch reservieren. Das geht ohne Probleme per Telefon. Essen haben wir hier schon öfter bestellt, aber es war leider nie lecker. Egal ob versalzen oder sehr kreativ vom Küchenchef. Pizza auch irgendwie komisch. Die Getränke sind aber sehr lecker und zu einem fairen Preis.

There are definitely people who are looking for exactly that kind of bar, but people with taste are not one of them. The Radler tasted sweet in the worst possible way, music is either pop and more annoying or house sets that you find on the Soundcloud homepage, then way too loud on speakers with 300% mids... If neither of these fits the rustic decor at all, then at least some guitar music plays to add to the atmosphere. The audience is young and stuffy, engineering students are happy, everyone else is taking a test drive.
