"Eastern Bloc Records is a quirky chill out kind of place in my favourite part of Manchester, the Northern Quarter. They offer vegan breakfast for £8.00 which I chose with extra avocado instead of beans, but forgot to swap the sausages (I can't eat soya), however I knew my husband would eat them. A large decaf black Americano was a perfect pick me up and if you like milk they offer soya and almond milk, at no extra charge. I loved the breakfast even without sausages, everything was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was spot on, chef knows how to cook for sure, the toast was excellent too. I notice there were two vegan sandwiches on offer and a great selection of vegan cakes in the cabinet, so I will definitely return."

The Vegan Breakfast is very delicious and plenty. Additionally, the service is very nice and forthcoming. The price of the vegan option does not differ from the regular one.

Coffee was lumpy and was given non vegan butter with my Vegan Breakfast. I asked for some flora or a vegan alternative and it was thrown on my food. I was given black toast, and when I asked them to replace it they gave me bread… Breakfast was okay considering all of that. But I won’t be coming back.

Lovely little cafe which offers an assortment of cakes and teas. However the real treasure is upstairs in the record shop that stocks a plethora of electro, dance, soul and reggae music. The staff are incredibly helpful and won't hesitate to hand you records they think you might enjoy to listen to on their top of the range record players. Every music lover must visit. To my amaze I found out that on some Thursdays and Fridays they have in store DJ's playing a range of music. I went to an acid house based event and it was mint!

I remember ostblock from my deceased teenagers. it always felt ridiculous as if I wasn't cool enough to be at the place. the recordings were intimidatingly uncertain, so I feel like a thickhead philister. as always; back to the contrary. on a sunny day I took j there for brekkie. I chose the packaging. I think vegan breakfast package. she had the breakfast. After seeing all the current reviews, I'm sorry not to have chosen the seemingly fabulous coffee. we had alcoholic drinks. frech, but nice. recommended for everyone. great portions and a decent choice. not excellent, but I thought it was good.

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
