"Restaurant Only: We didn 't stay at the lodge. #TLDR: The best dining experience I 've had anywhere. A week later, my wife and I are still talking about it. We even ate at a AA 3 Rosette restaurant with a similar tasting menu the following evening. Everything they prepared for us was excellent, but none of it as good as what we had at Edinbane Lodge. That 's all I 'll say about the other place. I just want to emphasize how perfectly presented everything we had from them was. Edinbane 's menu told a single story. Everything we ate that night was obtained locally; most within just a few miles and some from the grounds of the lodge. The food was simple in that none of the offerings contained more than a handful of ingredients, but those ingredients were used to perfection. Our menu had 2 mains: Monkfish and Lamb. 1) A well prepared piece of lamb is delicious. This was incredible. Served 2 ways one was a shoulder in a pastry basket (please forgive me, I am not a gourmet). The flavor from that was explosive. It is the only way I can describe it. Imagine food fireworks going off in your mouth and you 're getting close. 2) Monkfish is a mild, whitefish. One bite told me I was eating the best monkfish I would ever have. I couldn 't help but imagine the chef obsessing over every piece individually. I don 't know for sure that 's what was happening, but I don 't know how else you make everything this perfect. I could write pages about our experience, but no one would want to read that much that hadn 't already been. One last example of simple made perfection: Celery sorbet. You read that right. It wasn 't a bad autocorrect. Words won 't do it justice. Imaging what those 2 words put together would taste like would at best be a disappointment. It was bright and clean. It was wonderful and was presented with their interpretation of cheese and crackers. This is such an inadequate reduction of what was sitting on that plate that I expect the authorities to show up at my door as soon as I hit post. If you have any opportunity to visit this place before their wait list extends into the next decade, you owe it to yourself to go. It is not cheap, but it is underpriced for what you get. We will go back any time we 're able. Thank you! Food drinks: My review was solely about the food. I 'm sure the lodge is very nice."

The location is very central for exploring Skye. The rooms are nice, but the restaurant was a bit disappointing given the price. Rooms receive a rating of 5, service a 4, and location a 5.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and the service is very friendly and accommodating. We had a great experience staying here for two nights and highly recommend it. The rooms were rated 4 out of 5, the service was rated 5 out of 5, and the location was rated 3 out of 5.

For the restaurant only. Had the tasting menu for dinner. Every main dish was so perfect. The missing one star is for the desserts. The flavors for all 3 desserts are quite weird. Also, it would be better if the crackers can be less oily. And it would be nice if not followed with fried oysters, as both are fried, and can be too oily. View menu

The only downside is the coffee. After scanning through the amazing menu, I was disappointed to see that they only offer Nespresso. Personally, I find pod coffee to be unacceptable when there are so many local roasters and high-quality beans available. The challenge lies in properly training the staff to extract it. Everything else about the restaurant is wonderful though! The staff is excellent, the small bites dinner with wine pairing was fun, and the room was great just like other reviews mentioned. The breakfast seating area could use some improvement as it lacks coziness, but overall, the restaurant is making an effort to improve.

Review for the restaurant only. Lovely to find a tasting menu in the highlands with all local ingredients. Decently priced from the perspective of NYC tasting menus. Straight down the middle with the courses, everything was good kind of what’d you expect. Nothing crazy wild/innovative, they played it safe. The wine pairing was also solid no complaints. It was a good experience to find a delicate menu after eating all the piles of delicious seafood! Staff was super friendly as well. Would recommend if you want a change of pace for a quieter, cozy date night on your road trip in the highlands. Location is a 3 star because of its remote location. And there are prob
