"If I could I'd give 3.5 pr 3.75 stars. I had a hot chocolate which looked great, but tasted mostly syrupy and less like a creamy hot chocolate. The service is solid and the location is great. The vibe of the place seems chill and inviting with plenty of light. I'm sure this place is much busier, louder with longer waits in the summer months. That may be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. All in all, I'd certainly recommend a stop in, atleast to try the hot chocolate on a cold day like I did."

Slow service. Cafe felt dark and scruffy. £5 for a cup of hot milk with a bit of melted chocolate thrown in. Disappointing.

Ordered four sandwiches and drinks. Bread thick and dry, fillings ok, drinks ok, but took an hour to get the food sandwiches!!! One only appeared after we’d finished. Really lovely waiter brought the dog a bowl of water. Poor slow food but kind staff View menu

It's one of my favourite cafés in Canterbury. The staff are friendly and the food and drinks are good. Its a great place to relax and watch the world go by. It's a lovely venue to meet friends or make new friends too. So I suggest you check it out if you are in Canterbury.

We’ve visited a few times. It’s been fine for drinks, if slightly slow service. Made a mistake ordering food there recently though, the bread was totally dry a smidge of mustard on one side and nothing on the other (no spread, mayo etc) a Cuban should be a great sandwich, it really wasn’t worth the money.

"After never visiting Canterbury before we where looking for somewhere to have a late lunch, we came across this place which looked ok, upon entering the back room we were offered to take a seat in the front area and someone will be with us. We asked what food there was and we where sarcastically shown the food on the blackboard, after choosing what we wanted the polite man went off and put the order in. We did feel that because the man had asked a couple of questions to another member of staff that he was spoke down too a bit. Anyway after placing the order and what we wanted the food came out it wasn’t correct but because it seemed like we were going to interrupt the people in the back room we just took what we had. It was nice food though. When we went to pay we hadn’t noticed that there wasn’t a price list so when we asked for the bill we were told that it was donation, what we thought was enough, it wasn’t posted anywhere and it took us by surprise as we where standing at the till, I was going to pay in cash but was told they don’t take cash so I had to give my donation in card by telling the person how much we where donating. After plucking a figure out of air as we wasn’t prepared we paid and left. Upon leaving we felt that the person we paid thought we hadn’t paid enough and wasn’t happy with the amount but after working out what we would have paid properly we worked out that we had paid more than what it might have been if there was a proper price on everything. Overall it has a great ethos and it’s great for giving people the experience that they need to be in a working environment but they need to show the price or tell customers first that it’s donations and card only."
