"My parents came today for an afternoon tea which my sister I booked for their golden wedding anniversary. Elsie Mays went above and beyond to make this special for them. A suprise banner and chocolates were such a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The afternoon tea was gorgeous they said and, couldn't fit it all in so, they came away with a doggy bag! They said the breakfast and other food they saw all looked fantastic and they'll be back to try that!! The staff were all lovely and very accomodating. My parents had a lovely time here and will be definitely returning to this little gem of a place. Maybe with me and my sister in tow next time!! Well done Elsie Mays for there lovely afternoon."

My husband and I had an Elsie Mays Grande Breakfast, it's huge and very nice, cooked well, bacon is nice and not too salty, although if you season your food before tasting don't... Staff are very friendly and we enjoyed our breakfast.

So many good reviews that I thought I would pop in for a full English breakfast. Nice staff and surroundings but staff were very loud when talking to each other. Ordered a pot of tea for one and noticed the tea pot had dried egg on the lid. As for the tea itself it turned out to be weak and not pleasant to taste. Breakfast arrived with toast and looked very good. The plate was stone cold for English breakfast just not acceptable. Both sausages were very nice but the bacon was not palatable due to its excess salt content. I left most of my breakfast after trying to eat the bacon. Overall, very disappointing and will not be returning
