"The restaurant was fully booked the first night which we took to be a good sign. We were wrong... We arrived for dinner and the most charming and friendly lady looked after us (the points in the rating go to her! . There were no real starters to chose from so we had anchovies on toast as a snack with our drinks which were sensational and it went downhill from there. I had pork, which was six small cubes the size of my thumbnail which was mostly fat so the flavour wasn't great. Only one had any meat on it. There were a few red kidney beans to go with it but they didn't really go together. It was all over in a few mouthfuls. It was pretty to look at, but at 26€ for a main I expected better. The brownie for dessert was meh and very dry. The drinks weren't great: a very weak spritz to start, and the wine list was heavily French. I would have liked to try some Italian wines. It's a real shame as it had so much potential and the staff were fab."

Finally service food and set up at the highest international level in this restaurant that pretend to be simple and unpretentious but is elegant and very sophisticated. Well done. It the symbol of “ the new” happening in Milano

Fun menu classic dishes but always with a touch of cleanliness and fantastic freshness. excellent selection of wines, clear and wide view. Good cocktails. A little too extravagant sweets! friendly staff and always attentive to the customer. All very good in the compliment room!

It seems to be out of town but you are in the middle of Milan, medium/high level cuisine. Mise en place impeccable in a modern environment. All courses had a story and the explanation from the waiters was satisfactory. Excellent choice of wines and great quantity of bitters. In general a beautiful experience. View menu

pleasant evening, good food together even if they decide a lot of sweets. we were in 4 and only ocyto from the restaurant that everyone had the thought that we would be on a more beautiful memory if we had not eaten the dessert that cancelled the good flavors of other dishes. mediocre service for such a position that would deserve more willing and happy waiters to do their job. special mention for cocktails, excellent level, made by a very prepared person.

Just sad. Tried to eat there twice. First time they send us away because we did not have reservation. It was early evening and most of the tables were free. We just wanted something small and quick, but they said it was not possible. The second time we wanted to go for a late lunch. According to trip advisor it should be open all day. When we came only a few tables were occupied. When we asked to have a table for two, the waiter just said they were completely sold out and would close the restaurant now with an unknown arrogance. Pity, nice and quiet location. But staff and attitude like this makes it impossible to enjoy.

"Visited months ago The label of a vegetarian restaurant absolutely does not correspond to what Joia represents in the Italian gastronomic panorama. We are talking about the maximum expression of haute cuisine, overwhelming ideas, bold and unexpected combinations, exceptional raw materials, all served in an exclusive environment suitable for providing customers with a fantastic experience. Chef Leemann showed up in person to take the order and give his suggestions on the sequence of dishes. The service staff has always proven to be very prepared to answer all our questions or curiosities about the dish itself and this knowledge was not only the heritage of the waiter who brought the dish to our table and described it to us, but of all the staff who, even randomly, we stopped to ask for further explanation! The wine list was excellent from which we chose a Barbera d 'Alba by Bartolo Mascarello. But let 's get to the food. As entrees... and calling them entrees is definitely limiting! We were offered 2 wonderful tastings which unfortunately I cannot remember in their composition, but the first was a cream with carrot and rhubarb served in a mini terracotta vase, while the second appeared like a palette of colors where some fantastic raw materials sauces could be combined manually. My lunch then began with the Cantiam la montanara where, under a soft celery foam, there was a composition of green asparagus, spring onion and truffle on chopped borlotti beans. Fantastic dish, sublime with exceptional aromas!. I then continued with The navel of the world , a wonderfully plated dish where two types of rice are used, one as a base made with asparagus and watercress, and in the center a Venere rice cake finished on top with saffron almond cream . Finally I closed the lunch with a selection of 8 cheeses, some of which were truly exceptional, accompanied by jams/honey. Obviously the bill is in line with the proposal and with the experience. I must say that it was truly a pleasure and an honor."
