"Can 't say I had a good time here, and as it was the last day of our holiday and we were starting to become strapped for cash I wish we hadn 't wasted any here. We went in because we quite like an American style diner, usually, and we wanted a quick change from all the seafood we 'd been eating. The place was empty but it was an awkward time between lunch and dinner so we didn 't think too much of it. The barman was very friendly, welcomed us and gave us the menus. We went to the back of the room, which is rather large, to sit by the open doors as it was very warm.The decor is what you 'd expect from an American style diner, and it seemed pretty clean and whatnot in the restaurant itself, no food left out, no spillages, lots of chrome and dark tables, so far so good. Maybe there 's more staff in the evening or maybe there 's good drinks deals that make it a good place to visit at night, I don 't know, but I don 't recommend it for a quick dinner. My partner had the chicken platter and to be fair he said it was perfectly fine. I had the 'hot dog ' which was 'loaded ' with chilli and 'American cheese '.It came with skin on 'fries '. I also ordered halloumi 'fries ' on a 'bed of green salad '. You 'll notice all the quotation marks. What I received was a sea-side chippy style sausage in a dry bun, with the smallest amount of tasteless chilli shoved down the sides you 've ever seen. The topping only went halfway up the dog. Loaded it was not. The cheese was not American cheese, it was this weird congealed lump of chewiness and very thin on the ground. The fries were actually chips, and though they were okay they tasted very deep fried and a bit insubstantial. The halloumi fries weren 't fries at all. If I read halloumi fries I expect them to be battered or crumbed or ... ya know ... something. This was literally a small plate of halloumi chunks. That was it. Unadorned cheese bits. No seasoning, no batter, no nothing. The bed of green salad it came on was one piece of iceberg lettuce. And this was £5. All in all, my meal was foul and I couldn 't finish it. Partner faired much better, so maybe they know what they 're doing when it comes to chicken.Oh and the toilets were naff. Have to squeeze in to get the door shut, the toilet roll dispenser was behind your head just where you can 't really reach it, and the sinks were soaking wet. I leaned forward to check my face in the mirror and the front of my top became immediately soggy.Again, the staff were friendly and attentive and said goodbye when we left, can 't really fault them."

Service was very good, staff lovely and this premises it dog friendly. We had a breakfast which was really tasty and lovely and warm. Would recommend this place to eat

Excellent meals, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere,had a great time and will return again. Easy to find, and a good variety of food and drinks to choose from both menus.

Went there for a pint and all what I could see, was a young guy wearing factory shirt standing by the bar with a pint and shot. Not saying staff is not allowed to drink but he could change his uniform at least.!

Food was abundant but greasy and salty. In general it feels like food is just mistreated, the ribs in particular were carbonised... the nice detail of the spicy coleslaw was marred by it being three tablespoons. Service was ok. View menu

Absolutely dreadful meal today. It was cheap produce cooked and served badly. That’s why you have to pay the bill first! Nobody checked if our meal was ok. Would never return! Overpriced dried out Iceland frozen food!! Avoid!!!

Reminds me of an old girlfriend. Looks nice from the outside but when you get in there its not what you would expect. Cheap and rubbish portions. Dirty fries were not dirty for the extra money. No BBQ sauce on the dirty fries or in my BBQ Chicken wrap!!! AVOID

Visited just after lock down 1 ended. Nice welcome from the staff, everywhere nice and clean, ordered at the bar, mixed starters, steaks, burgers, chicken with chips and salad. plenty of good lovely food and great service. Beer, wine soft drinks. Great for families, garden out the back, TV’s, pool table etc. Location good near sea front and tourist area. View menu

To start off, the staff at this restaurant were friendly, respectful, and attentive. However, we were disappointed with the menu as it lacked any seafood options and only had one vegetarian choice. In our opinion, this restaurant is more suitable for meat and burger lovers. Additionally, the outdoor tables on the main street were old and outdated. Overall, we do not plan on returning.

I've lived in Paignton for years but hadn't been here until recently. The service was friendly and efficient. I ordered the grilled chicken burger and it was delicious! You can tell the ingredients used are quality. I don't know what they do to their burger buns but it was delicious! The chips are just right and the chicken was moist. The portion was more than enough. Loved sitting out the back on a sunny day
