"I visited The Falcon Inn last night with my wife and another couple. We all enjoyed excellent meals and drinks in a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. We haven’t been to The Falcon for several years since we moved away. It was great to be welcomed back to find out it’s still one of the best pub/restaurants in the region. It was Friday evening, so there was a good crowd, but the service was still very personable. The meals were excellent and we were very pleased to see £10 specials for fish chips and several pies. The pies were proper, home-made, short crust pastry pies, not just a pastry lid like you sometimes get. The real ales were very well conditioned and there was an excellent selection of beers and wines. Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening and an exceptionally good value. The couple that run The Falcon (front of house Madison and head chef Zak) were both very visible and obviously work very hard to keep this one of the best pub/restaurants around. We’ll be back soon!"

I had a lovely evening visiting with two friends for fish and chip Friday. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff couldn’t have been more attentive and welcoming and the fish and chips were delicious. Great evening.

I visited this restaurant last night (Good Friday) after hearing about their fish and chip special. It was excellent - we devoured our meals and left with 4 empty plates. The fish batter was incredibly light and crispy. I also tried the crème brûlée for dessert, which was delicious. We will definitely be coming back to try more dishes from their menu. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

I have a dairy allergy which the inn worked with very well the chef offered to make dairy free pastry so that I could take advantage of their special offer during ‘pie week’. By the time we got to dessert the chef had also rustled up a dairy free chocolate mousse so I didn’t have to miss out on pudding either. The service throughout was also excellent. I would thoroughly recommend a visit. View menu

It was National Pie Week, but unfortunately the restaurant did not participate. The event was advertised but limited service was available due to staff training. The experience was not impressive. The hallway behind the front door was dirty, clearly not cleaned in weeks. This pub is in need of refurbishment and should focus more on customer satisfaction. Overall, it was a disappointing visit.

We were excited to try the Falcon Inn’s pies for National Pie Week and they didn’t disappoint! Ours were beautifully presented with delicious filling and pastry. We can also definitely recommend the Korean chicken, truffle macaroni cheese and scotch eggs from the bar menu…all were absolutely delicious and none of us needed to eat again that day! Service was really friendly and coped brilliantly with our big complex order. Thank you Falcon Inn team for a lovely experience!

I visited this pub and was extremely impressed with the warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellent hospitality, and delicious food. The menu had a great variety of choices and we enjoyed a selection of sides, 3 different roasts, 2 sticky toffee puddings, and cappuccinos. The food was hot, well-presented, and full of flavor. The staff was efficient and we were even served by the owner/chef, which was a nice touch. Don't miss out on this wonderful experience - we will definitely be returning. Thanks to Zak, Maddie, and the rest of the Falcon Inn team for a great dining experience! View menu

Once again another great evening at The Falcon Inn. Fish Chips for £10!! Incredible value for a good portion of ale battered cod, home made chips, mushy peas and the Chef's own tartar sauce. We sat near the open fire which was lovely. Background music played which is a new thing and I believe adds to the already lovely atmosphere. A very good range of ales, larger and wines. With my meal I went for a cool Red Stripe. The service was good as always and was served by the Proprietor Maddy who is always so friendly and accommodating. My wife chose off the a la Carte and had filet steak which was also I believe delicious! I would certainly recommend a visit here. You won't be disappointed!

Had another wonderful evening at this beautifully unique rustic venue. Myself and my partner full advantage of their £10 pie week offer and was not left disappointed, leaving with full stomachs. Noticeably fresh food, made properly from scratch by the in house team with locally sourced ingredients. Will be back to try fish and chips Friday soon (also modestly priced at £10) Service was friendly and welcoming from Madison who was attentive to our needs and consistently checked in and took time to learn our names. As someone who likes to eat out and cook homemade food myself, I don’t know what else I could have asked for. I love to see a restaurant staying unique and not “chainy” Keep up the g...

"this was my birthday contract with the children (in their 40's go to lunch big situation, but the management is missing in action. we smiled at the typos. the menu, but it turned out to be a symptom of deficiency...view to detail. very friendly (but quite inexperienced waiting staff. great location and a very warm welcome. water came pretty fast. the starters were pretty good (3 ham hock croquettes and a panko chicken. the mains were another thing. two fish and chips very nice, good portions and well presented. burger was terrible. here is the menu description 6oz coarsely ground beef burger, candied speck, soft bevel, cheddar cheese, salattomate . the reality was a burger in a bungalow with a piece soggy salat and maybe some cheese. no speck, no tomats, no wobble so £18 for an average qualitysburger and they have to pay extra for riders! To conclude that there was at least 5 10 minutes after the other net, so we sat just wait and had to ask the waitress when it came. description • crispy confit ente bein, herby buttermilk waffel, fried due egg with maple senf dressing the reality that was inspected and watery it looked out and tasted as if it were boiled to death. the herby buttermilk waffel was chewing and certainly in a blind taste test I would swear that there is no more crumble in. to cover, it was cold. the sniffing was nicely spread in the waffles that gave them a taste. we also ordered the knochenmark from the menu. No one had said to the poor waitress that they should have been ordered to tell the diners what was going on and no. the menu. when we complained, the manager had not even come the courtesy and see us they left the poor junior waiterin to explain that the speck had not come with the delivery to the last day (one ever heard that he jumps out of the super market to buy some? and there was no excuse for the missing tomats, very badly sorry for us, so on. desserts the brownie was very nice, but the eton mess was a catastrophe. it came in a small delicate glass. in the ground a buckling of whipped cream with some slabs of stone hard meringue and some earthy with stems overfilled with some earthberry syrup. after bending the spoon. we decided to solve it by hand. I was afraid that I would break a tooth on the notched position that really needed to be served with a hammer. the only way to eat the earthy was to pick them up from the body, to bite and to eat to which time our hands were covered in sauce. on the plus side, they drew the price of the burger and Eton fair and 25% of the duck, as we had 3 glasses of wine and a koks, the bill was still over £120 without drinking money. to say that by my choice of restaurants, I would be embarrassing a rough understatement."
