"My daughter requested very last minute an impromptu family dinner for her 18th birthday. Having eaten and enjoyed previously at T&K I called and explained the situation. They pulled out all the stops to give us a fantastic table on a busy Saturday night. The manager remembered from the booking that it was her birthday which started our experience in such a thoughtful way. It’s lovely when someone you don’t know says happy birthday. We all ordered and were looked after brilliantly by the hard working waitress. The food was excellent sashimi and hanger steak and not sure how we managed a dessert but we did! T&K has a wonderful vibe, lovely people working there who care that you have a good time and delicious food and cocktails. The price of 3 courses for £35 was extremely good value for the quality. For once my steak arrived rare when requested! We will be back, just try stopping us."

Utterly disappointed and felt embarrassed because it was our friends first time never again The kitchen really needs to address what it’s serving to their customers

Our fave spot! We keep returning to T&K and it keeps impressing us! The food is always top quality, and the service is friendly and efficient. Looking forward to more visits in 2024! View menu

I had the Beets starter which was amazing with a little heat from the chillis. Then mushroom risotto with hens egg which was equally fantastic. Met a colleague to discuss business but food far too good for us to talk and haven’t even mentioned the simple pleasures beer not a bad Thursday

A delicious Sunday roast at my favourite place to eat. Never let’s me down. Fresh food cooked perfectly with the best Yorkshires in town!! The service was great, nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was wonderful. Lucky to have such a great place to eat on the doorstep. Keep up the good work

First time we have stopped here to eat. We have often passed it whilst doing the Oundle Water Meadows walk. We were very fortunate to walk in on a late Sunday lunch and happened to get a table . We had the 2 courses for £27 . My daughter and husband had the Sunday dinner and paid extra for the cauliflower cheese and I had the vegetarian leek pasta (I can’t remember the posh name for it which was divine. Food was exquisite. Lovely vibe and very attentive staff. Will definitely be back. View menu

I recently attended the tap kitchen with my brother, on entering the premises we were greeted with a warm welcome. The decor of the establishment was classy with a real cosy feel, our server was very professional and attentive and also very knowledgeable regarding the menu. We had 3 courses and must say that all 3 were absolutely delicious. We really did enjoy our experience, we are already making plans to go back. Whatever the occasion I really recommend this wonderful establishment. Thank you so much and looking forward to seeing you again soon. Great job everyone.

Quite enjoyed our first visit last weekend I had a Salt Beef sandwich and my friend had a Prawn sandwich both were nice and served with freshly made chips, the Beef in particular had a very nice flavour. We both had a pint of the Gold Beer that is gluten free and brewed next door and we were both very impressed with it. The one thing that was annoying was the Tables they have a centre pole going down to a cross on the floor that is in the way of both your feet, I could not get my feet comfortable at all they did not fit inside or outside the frame they were just in the way and I could not relax and enjoy the meal. Perhaps the tops could be rotated forty five degrees so the base is between yo...

"this was my birthday contract with the children (in their 40's go to lunch big situation, but the management is missing in action. we smiled at the typos. the menu, but it turned out to be a symptom of deficiency...view to detail. very friendly (but quite inexperienced waiting staff. great location and a very warm welcome. water came pretty fast. the starters were pretty good (3 ham hock croquettes and a panko chicken. the mains were another thing. two fish and chips very nice, good portions and well presented. burger was terrible. here is the menu description 6oz coarsely ground beef burger, candied speck, soft bevel, cheddar cheese, salattomate . the reality was a burger in a bungalow with a piece soggy salat and maybe some cheese. no speck, no tomats, no wobble so £18 for an average qualitysburger and they have to pay extra for riders! To conclude that there was at least 5 10 minutes after the other net, so we sat just wait and had to ask the waitress when it came. description • crispy confit ente bein, herby buttermilk waffel, fried due egg with maple senf dressing the reality that was inspected and watery it looked out and tasted as if it were boiled to death. the herby buttermilk waffel was chewing and certainly in a blind taste test I would swear that there is no more crumble in. to cover, it was cold. the sniffing was nicely spread in the waffles that gave them a taste. we also ordered the knochenmark from the menu. No one had said to the poor waitress that they should have been ordered to tell the diners what was going on and no. the menu. when we complained, the manager had not even come the courtesy and see us they left the poor junior waiterin to explain that the speck had not come with the delivery to the last day (one ever heard that he jumps out of the super market to buy some? and there was no excuse for the missing tomats, very badly sorry for us, so on. desserts the brownie was very nice, but the eton mess was a catastrophe. it came in a small delicate glass. in the ground a buckling of whipped cream with some slabs of stone hard meringue and some earthy with stems overfilled with some earthberry syrup. after bending the spoon. we decided to solve it by hand. I was afraid that I would break a tooth on the notched position that really needed to be served with a hammer. the only way to eat the earthy was to pick them up from the body, to bite and to eat to which time our hands were covered in sauce. on the plus side, they drew the price of the burger and Eton fair and 25% of the duck, as we had 3 glasses of wine and a koks, the bill was still over £120 without drinking money. to say that by my choice of restaurants, I would be embarrassing a rough understatement."
