Farm Shop At Cranswick

Excellent visit. Very friendly welcome. My wife uses a walker and waitress found suitable table where she had room to leave walker, without being asked. Excellent jacket potatoes with beautiful salad and excellent coleslaw. Well worth the visit.

This café is clean with a variety of options available, including breakfast on the lunch menu. They offer delicious desserts and cakes, as well as a wide selection of drinks. The servers are friendly. While the food was good, the rarebit was a bit disappointing for the price and I would not order it again. I will definitely return soon.

Called again today, the second time within a week. Food was absolutely delicious again, and the staff were so polite and friendly. The billionaire flapjack is the best I have ever tasted; so much so that we took 4 pieces home to share with family who could not join us. The menu has been recently updated, but the staff were very helpful in accommodating the dietary restrictions of two members in our group who had food allergies and intolerances. The food was fresh, delicious, and made with high-quality ingredients. All of the staff were friendly and efficient. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

WOW....visited this cafe a number of times with my elderly parents always a warm, friendly welcome from all staff. Meals have always been high quality tasty and hot. Arranged a surprise lunch for my dad's 80th and couldn't of asked for any more. All staff were amazing all went above and beyond to make it special for us. Trish you and your staff are all amazing. We just went for a cup of tea and cake and whilst this was lovely we were a little bit disappointed by the greeting we got as we arrived. The lady who was seating us was rather rude and when we requested a table by the window we were told that’s for 4 there was 2 of us and whilst I can understand keeping these tables as such when the cafe is busy this was really not the case while we were there. Her attitude rather spoilt our enjoyment of what could have been a lovely hour or so there.

My wife and I are quite particular about where we eat and drink and are frequent fliers here. Whatever anybody else says, the cafe/restaurant is unrivalled as the place to go for lunch and/or coffee and cake in East Yorkshire. All of the ladies staffing and running the cafe are fantastic being very friendly and engaging. They enjoy a good chat and I love making them laugh as they work tirelessly to give customers a great experience. Unequivocally they have achieved this every time we have been! The food is all superb and great value. The only thing I am worried about in writing this review is that this already very busy place will get more so and they will not be able to fit us in!

My wife and I visited the Cranswick Farm Shop on Wednesday 26th July 2023, at lunchtime and later that day the café where we arrived just after 4pm, it closes at 4pm. As usual our experience in the shop was very good, friendly, polite and attentive staff plus excellent ready meals. Unfortunately, our experience in the cafe is very different. The staff come across as grumpy, unhelpful and not welcoming. This is by no means the first time we have had this experience. On arrival I was very concerned to see the toilets were closed for cleaning. For health reasons this is a vital facility to me and I’m sure there will be others in a similar situation.
