"We visited this restaurant on a rainy Monday afternoon and found it to be busy with a small band playing. The service was quick and the staff were friendly and eager to chat, making us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was great overall. The owner even brought out complimentary food plates for everyone. It just goes to show that with a little effort, a pub can be successful even on a dreary November day. The band played music from the Beatles era and did a fantastic job. Kudos to the owner for creating such a welcoming and enjoyable experience. The average price per person was between £10-20."

Gord and I had a late lunch at The Ferry Tap. At this establishment, you place your order at the bar and pay immediately. We both opted for steak pies. I chose the classic version while Gord went for one with haggis. The pies were good, but unique as they were deconstructed, with the filling hidden under a flaky pastry crust. The steak pieces were sizable and hearty.

This restaurant is a hidden treasure. I had excellent fish and chips with a glass of The Dalmor to warm me up after getting caught in the rain. The pub has a great atmosphere and Linda/Linda provided exceptional service. They both took the time to chat with me and make me feel welcome. The average price per person is between £10 and £20. I highly recommend trying the fish and chips. The food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a rating of 5 out of 5.
