"The Eel's is back on form. After a few years of it not being what it was, it was so good to feel it back on fire. The bar staff are so friendly and the food is so good. The haddock and chips were so good that we failed to persuade our boy that a full on fish and chip shop would be better for dinner the next night. He was right. They've got an amazing new pudding of cookie dough in an individual pan with ice cream on top. As a bonus, there's a jug of chocolate sauce. All so good and it's so good to see a return to form."

"This is, without a doubt, my favorite establishment of all time. The food is not only amazing but also very affordable, and you hardly ever have to wait for service. The owners, Matt and Amy, are almost always on-site and are incredibly welcoming. They even give local kids the opportunity to work during their holidays, treating them like genuine employees. The bar area is delightful and cozy, making it a perfect place to unwind. Every Sunday during the summer, they host an event called "Frog Box," which is essentially a raffle, with all the proceeds going towards the next one. I find myself coming here almost every night when I'm in the area to enjoy the drinks and engage in some friendly conversation. **Vegetarian options:** There's a great variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu. **Dietary restrictions:** They offer gluten-free options for everything! **Parking:** There's convenient parking just around the corner, and it’s rarely full. **Kid-friendliness:** They have a kids' menu and plenty of fun activities in the grassy area behind the pub, so you can easily keep an eye on your kids while sitting outside. **Wheelchair accessibility:** The venue is wheelchair-friendly with no stairs to navigate. Overall, it’s a fantastic place for everyone!"

The children loved the chicken burger while mum couldn't choose between the asparagus and mackerel starters as a main, both were delicious. The chefs at The Westleton Crown truly work magic in the kitchen, creating memorable dishes that exceed expectations. The experience was worth every penny and made for a special celebration. The cozy restaurant is nestled in a quiet Suffolk village, offering a unique and unforgettable dining experience. "If this were a school report, I would give it a B-. Here’s why: The food was good, the drinks—a wine and a beer—were of high quality, and the service was prompt and friendly. However, the garden area was littered with garbage and full ashtrays from the previous night, which was disappointing. Additionally, the online booking system proposed an 11:45 time slot, but the pub doesn’t even open until noon!"

"Just as good as we remembered it with excellent staff and exceptional food. Slightly disappointed that we were given a table next to the only way out of the restaurant into the garden and for the duration of our meal guests were continuously opening the door, leaving it ajar so that our daughter must have closed it at least a dozen times and then brushing past our table. Although it didn’t entirely spoil a lovely lunch, it certainly took the edge off. It was also a shame that our wine didn’t arrive until we had finished our main courses... just as well we had puddings. We will return without hesitation when we are next in Suffolk and hope our comments only serve to improve a great place"
