Good food, service friendly and tables nicely spaced out. Best experience of our short break

We sat in the conservatory for Sunday lunch. Had a lovely meal, food was delicious, would recommend

Service was a little disjointed but this is probably due to adjusting to COVID. The staff were very friendly and helpful the food was very good and reasonably priced and the dining room was spacious and very pleasant

Came for dinner with my husband. We had heard a lot about it and our expectations were high. But the service was below average and the food wasn't spectacular.We arrived promptly, having made a reservation, but had to wait minutes for our drinks, which arrived after our starter. The restaurant wasn't too busy...The experience was somewhat disappointing

Fabulous new decor and food to match . Had an amazing meal from the starter through to the pud . Even in these strange times , staff were brilliant . Still thinking of the mouthwatering starter of grilled mackerel , with pickled greengages , radish , goats curd and samphire. Followed by a steak cooked to perfection and a chocolate mousse . Can’t wait to return View menu

We cane for Sunday lunch. What a lovely place the conservatory is beautifully decorated, light and airy, the gardens are so nice and the pony snd donkey are such a treat especially for my year old. The soup starter was just the perfect mix of spicy and creamy. My chicken and blue cheese salad was very generously sized and very tasty. Excellent service, nice variety of wine. Will definitely come back

The service and food was poor. Waited mins to be served and then drinks took a while to arrive. Both had fish and chips and they were bland. Ordered bread to start and again was just chunks of white bread. I had to go and chase up the bill and eventually got up again to say I am leaving and had to interrupt the staff discussing their rota so I could pay. The deco in the pub is good and that's about it. A shame as I don't complain but nothing really good to say and trying to support the pubs as it is a very difficult time hospitality sector

Just as good as we remembered it with excellent staff and exceptional food. Slightly disappointed that we were given a table next to the only way out of the restaurant into the garden and for the duration of our meal guests were continuously opening the door, leaving it ajar so that our daughter must have closed it at least a dozen times and then brushing past our table. Although it didn’t entirely spoil a lovely lunch, it certainly took the edge off. It was also a shame that our wine didn’t arrive until we had finished our main courses... just as well we had puddings. We will return without hesitation when we are next in Suffolk and hope our comments only serve to improve a great place View menu
