We have dined here several times without any problems, but during our most recent visit, the main course fell short of expectations. The burger bun was extremely hard and inedible. When I informed the staff about this, they offered to replace the bun, which I declined. The waitress mentioned she would bring this to the chef's attention and advise not to overcook them in the future. Overall, it was not a good experience, and I don't plan to return. The cost per person was around £60–70.

I absolutely adore this pub! The ambiance, service, food, and, of course, the wine are all of a quality that exceeds expectations given the reasonable prices. Last night, many of my friends were dining there, but I must especially highlight our waitress, the wonderful Emma! From the moment we walked in, Emma was a true gem. Her suggestions for food were spot-on, and her elegance, expertise, and warm, personable demeanor made our visit unforgettable. She deserves far more than just five stars! By the end of the meal, I felt uplifted, and I couldn't have felt better. What a fantastic pub, what an incredible steak, and what an amazing woman!

This was possibly one of the worst meals we have had relative to the place and price. Our start of broccoli bhaji tasted reheated but then had completely raw batter in the centre, my steak which I ordered medium rare came out mostly well done, onion rings that had a heated bread textured batter and fries that tasted like they had been left out for ages. My wife’s pasta dish of a lamb Ragu was totally dry, sparse and cold (really don’t know how they get away with serving that as a dish) and filthy wine glasses that were sticky all over and the replacement glass.
