The restaurant offers great service with friendly staff and prompt service. The lunch menu has delicious options and it seems to be a popular spot during lunchtime.

We have visited the Gardeners' Retreat a few times now and have always been impressed. The restaurant is comfortable, spacious, well-organized, with friendly and helpful staff, and serves delicious food.

We often make a stop here whether for a coffee break or lunch. Our last visit was for lunch which was superb as always. It's really nice to go somewhere where you recognise the staff. The staff are every bit as lovely as the food. Can't wait to return.

We stopped by this restaurant after a morning walk in Stowe Gardens. We arrived later than planned and didn't check the menu beforehand, but we were pleasantly surprised. The pies were delicious, with the option of chips and vegetables or new potatoes and vegetables. Both were homemade and excellent. We will definitely be back.

We use this garden centre as somewhere to meet up when my Mum goes to stay with my sister. It is a good place to meet up and is a nice garden centre with a very popular restaurant. Really good coffee and very impressed with the jacket potatoes which come with a variety of toppings. I had the chilli con carne, which was really tasty. A good value lunch with a nice well presented side salad. Will most certainly use in the future.

We ordered some cake to go with our tea, i chose a slice of fruit cake. When cake arrived £2.50) I was presented with an small dry end piece. When I pleasantly requested a middle piece the older gentleman growled and reluctantly plated another piece saying ‘ end bits are the best’ and that he would have that bit at break. Made me feel uncomfortable and that I was making a ‘fuss’ I rarely complain and am always quick to thank and acknowledge good service)

This cafe had been recommended to me by friends. Access to the garden centre was good, and there was plenty of parking space. For me, the quality of the coffee is always important, and I'm pleased to say that it is excellent at the Gardeners' Retreat (and so is the mocha, which I tried on my second visit, on my return journey). I also had the macaroni cheese, which was very good. This and some of the other meals on the menu are also available to buy ready-packed to take home.
