"I wish I’d avoided the burger based on the other reviews, but we’d just returned from Ben Nevis and didn’t think anything could go wrong with a burger... But it was pretty terrible. It was essentially cooked quinoa formed into a patty. Very bland. Luckily the chips were tasty! But wish we’d opted for one of the other mains. Good to see a separate veggie/vegan menu. We arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday night and got the last pub table; the restaurant was fully booked for the night and soon there was a 1 hour waiting list for pub tables. Best to head down early or make a booking, as a lot of people got turned away."

the haggis was one of the best meals I had in Scotland. tomaten soup came with vegan butter, which is always a beautiful surprise.

They had an extra veggie card. We had the vegan burger. It was easy, but the patty had the consistency of some not cooked dough. A bit expensive for this burger.

I had the vegan haggis, neeps and tatties as a main. Very tasty just wish there was more of it. I had some chips to top up my meal. I returned to have the vegan haggis again. View menu

there were no huge vegan series, but enough to give a few options. had the veg burger and chips, was quite good, although not much taste added chillis. the chips were amazing!

The soup was lovely and came with vegan spread for the bread which was a thoughtful touch. I also had the quinoa burger which was filling but it was quite bland. The staff were really friendly and the place had a nice relaxed vibe

we had to book here as the first night was full. separate vegetarian menu with vegan options. I ordered the roasted tomato worm with black rice, kale pesto and chickpea rice, which was superb! had cookies with vegan ice for dessert, which was quite rich but also delicious. View menu

These guys have a veggie menu so they are trying... I had the curry which was REALLY spicy (I am a fan of spicy but this I wasn’t ready for) which wasn’t really advertised on the menu. My husband had the ratatouille, it was also okay. The vegan haggis was actually really good! It’s worth going as the atmosphere is really nice and they understand the vegan concept.

so a great place! some friends and I stayed in fort william for a night in our Scottland roadtrip and found garrison west random, had an amazing dinner and enjoyed a few good ales. the bohnenburger is a delicious option for vegetarians. also they have a large selection of scotches, I would highly recommend the single 1999. all employees were exquisite, we enjoyed a lot (funny quiz and definitely repeat!

"While the food was tasty and steak was cooked to perfection, the horrible service and very long delays in getting served results in a rare 2 star review. Having read gushing positive reviews about this place, my girlfriend and I.. Tourists from out of town decided to stop by. We called and booked a table for 2 at 630pm. We arrived at 620pm and we're promptly seated. The evening is looking great. Then things started to go downhill. It took us 15 mins to get our orders taken..with 2 tables who arrived after us being served first by the pony tailed sole waitresses there. I waved her down and politely informed her we were ready to order, but was told in a somewhat mocking demeanor that she would be right with me. It took her another 10mins to get back to us. The 2 items we wanted to order.. Ribs and and the risotto were not available. No one told us in advance. Big letdown. To add salt to the wound, the one low alcohol beer on the menu also wasn't available. Food took even longer to arrive. We waited 40 mins before both our burger and steak arrived. Though the taste was good and portions were generous, the accompanying sauce was way too little for a steak of that size. Although my cutlery was swapped out to include a serrated knife, my partner wasn't even given a steak knife. She relied on a bread knife to cut her burger. We asked for water and I made it clear we wanted hot water. We were served a water jug with cold water. End of the night, we can't help feeling very frustrated at the quality of service and long food wait times. We weren't the only ones. We noticed other tables too incurred at least 30 min wait times for food. Perhaps we are an Asian couple.. Was this the reason our table was skipped not once but twice in getting orders taken? One can't help but to draw conclusions. Given the chance, we won't be back again. There are many other establishments in the area worth exploring. With hopefully better table service. If you decide to come here, come very early and hopefully you're of the right skin color to receive proper table service that deserves your hard earned money. And be prepared for long wait times for your food. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2"
