George Dragon - Menu

This is one of our regular pub restaurants and the food is always excellent and Staff so helpful. We want to mention Chloe who went out of her way to ensure we had a super evening.

Quite a lack lustre experience. Went for lunch. Food was mediocre to say the least. Fish and chips looked great however very little fish and hard batter. Table was sticky and needed a wipe. I over priced for what it was not sure what had happened but gone down hill

I have visited this restaurant several times with friends and always enjoyed it, so I decided to bring my new girlfriend along. The food was fantastic, but the portion sizes were quite large. I ordered the spicy pepperoni pizza, which was delicious, and my girlfriend had the gammon, which she absolutely loved. The only downside was the presence of two annoying flies that kept buzzing around us, but that shouldn't deter you from dining here.

We ordered four bar snacks and drinks. After waiting for 30 minutes, only one of the snacks had arrived. When we inquired about the rest, we were informed that there was an issue with the till but they promised to bring them out soon. After waiting for another twenty minutes, none of the snacks had been served. When we decided to leave and asked for a refund, there was no apology or explanation given. This was our first and last visit to this restaurant.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely delightful, kudos to the chef. The service was impeccable. My only complaint is that there were wasps attracted to the flowers near the entrance. I have a huge phobia of wasps and pointed it out to the staff. They acknowledged the issue but mentioned that they had to have a flower display. While I understand the need for flowers, I believe that certain types, like lavender, attract more wasps and should be avoided near the entrance.

Went with family for a Father's Day meal, there was 11 of us in our party and we had an extremely pleasant meal. Food was delicious and a great selection on the Father's Day menu. The waitress we had was fantastic, she was attentive and thorough making sure she had the correct order for us all and keeping checking in with us even though it was extremely busy. The only downside was the service was very slow, but understandable due to how busy it was. We would definitely eat here again.

Spent a few hours here with family. The starter of garlic pizza with cheeses went down a treat. Main meals came swiftly after and didn’t disappoint. The staff were really helpful as our great granddaughter is a bit picky with what she likes, she got just what she wanted, which she loved. We normally don’t do desserts but couldn’t resist, crème brûlée, apple crumble and chocolate brownies and ice lollies, well why wouldn’t you. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely be returning soon.

We ate here before embarking on a long drive home. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly. There was a good choice of drinks. Starters mains and desserts were all very good portions and tasty. However, we did notice that a plate, side salad bowl and the platter for the pizza had nicks and cracks on them and would benefit from being replaced. Would prefer the pizza to be on a normal plate rather than a plastic type flat imitation wooden rectangle with scores and broken edges. We ordered coffees which should have been served with a small flapjack. We were not advised that these were not available. After asking, we were offered biscuits instead. Overall this was a very enjoyable meal.

Arrived for Sunday lunch , pre booked a table of 3 , glad we did as the restaurant and car park were already busy. Nice waitress called Chloe who was very upbeat and explained everything well. Drink orders taken quickly while left to choose from the Sunday menu. We all had a starter and a main course with drinks. I had the duck and orange parfait and 2 calamari. Portion sizes good and nice garnishing touches . Parfait was lovely with 3 pieces of toasted bread and a lovely onion chutney underneath.
