Giovanni's Wine Bar And Italian Restaurant

An undiscovered treasure! Our evening at this restaurant was fantastic. The food was exceptional and the service was top-notch. We will definitely be coming back!

This Italian restaurant in the city is a good place to dine. The service is great, and while the decor could use some updating, it is still a good spot to enjoy a meal.

This was one of my best lunches. The staff are friendly and helpful without being pushy. The food was very tasty and actually filling (without being stodgy), the wine and coffee were excellent . And everything came at, I think, a reasonable price.

It’s our second time at Giovanni’s and we loved it once again. It’s a real Italian place, owned and staffed with Italian people and with lively authentic Italian food. Authenticity sometimes tends to disappear elsewhere in London… but not here! We’ll be back

Everyone at Giovanni's was friendly, but there was a lack of warmth in the atmosphere. The food was average, but I was expecting something more unique. It has been the same since my last visit several years ago, always dependable. The only suggestion I have is for them to consider offering a variety of gluten-free pasta options. While there are some good spaghetti, linguine, and pasta shapes available now, the selection could be improved. However, this is a minor issue.

Quite disappointed, as I read through most of the reviews before making the reservation but realised that the handful negative reviews are actually accurate. Ordered quite 3 starters and 5 mains with my friends, and most items didn’t have any seasoning or flavour in them. The gnocchi with creamy mushroom sauce was really milky at best, with a weird water like consistency. My friends complained about bland, tasteless pastas as well. A real shame for the money we spent!

Went here with friends for a catch up. We felt very welcome by the staff. Cannot fault the service which was fast, friendly, knowledgable and fun. The food was excellent, go with the staff recommendation I was glad I did. The sausage rigatoni was lovely. All enjoyed their meals, food very tasty. Deserts lovely. Drinks a good price too. With a shared starter and each a main and desert and a couple alcoholic drinks each (some doubles) it was about £34each which seemed a bargain! We often meet up in various restaurants and have had bills double that before. Was a lovely dining experience. Recommended and will go back.
