Giraffe - Menu

We have been there for a friend meeting. They have good selection in the menu with different type of foods from all over the world. Service was quite good and foods was really delicious.

Visited for first time this morning. Had breakfast and coffee. Friendly greeting from staff, food arrived promptly and was great. Had a look at lunch and dinner menus and will definitely visit again.

Hi, I came alone to the restaurant on Tuesday! Nicholas was my waiter and recommended a lovely vegetarian burger with delicious sweet potato fries. The service was great and the experience enjoyable. Highly recommend! View menu

The place was really comfy and well looking. You can choose from a lot of things in the menu, both saulty and sweet. We went with the gold syrup and bacon pancakes that were amazing, and so was the marshmallow hot chocolate! They have churros too!!!

Didn’t have enough glasses to serve us fizz in flutes, took ages to sort food which came at different times (for a table of two), gave us the bill without us asking (which had mistakes and overcharges on which had to be corrected twice), with really rude service. Such a disappointment. Much better local restaurants within a one minute walk of this place save yourselves a rubbish night and go to one of those instead.

Even for a chain restaurant this one totally failed this evening. Given the choice in the area, I blame myself for taking the chance on it. Slow, disinterested service and poor food. Salt and pepper squid to start fresh from a packet in the freezer I guess and not sure where the salt and pepper seasoning went. ‘Ultimate burger’ to follow served in a cold bun straight from the chiller and cold undercooked fries on the side. We always dine at Giraffe, Leeds Trinity when in the City, food always excellent. When we dined there yesterday we were pestered by midges, yes in November! They kept appearing after we killed them. My husband queried it with Heinrich the lovely Waiter who said it was an ongoing problem as the Trinity Shopping Centre has major problems with the drainage system and at nighttime they have to block the drains with tissues to stop them coming in! Surely H S at Leeds City Council should look into this health risk problem as surely other eateries are affected?

It was a last minute decision to have dinner at this restaurant and was first choice for our daughter, as always we were greeted by the friendly staff and shown to our seats by the front door but it is very clear that this restaurant is in need of a deep clean. The fabric covering the chairs and bench seats are very badly stained with dried in food. All the menus we were given were covered in food stains and dried ketchup. Had to return classes and cutlery as they were also dirty. We tried to use the 2 for 1 voucher but found it had not been removed from our bill, took the duty manager a couple of minutes to work that out.

My friend and I visited giraffe on Saturday 20 October. I had a voucher, buy one main course, get one free, which I showed to our waiter when we were seated just to confirm it was valid, which it was. When it came to paying, the voucher code was not applied, and we didn’t notice until the bill had been paid, so we ended up paying the full amount. We told our waiter what had happened and asked for the amount to be refunded. We were told it wasn’t possible as the table had been closed?... the waiter took our details, ie name, phone number and was assured the manager would phone the next day.
