"Stayed here for 2 nights due to working nearby, What a place!! Starting with the rooms, very well kept and cosy. The beds are extremely comfortable and the pillows were perfect for my liking. I slept very well considering I normally don't get much sleep in hotels! The food, simply amazing! I couldn't fault it one bit. The guy I presume is the owner suggested a side order between me and a colleague I stead of one each and he wasn't wrong. The Pork Tomahawk was nothing short of perfect and I will be having it again when I return! The Diane sauce accompanied it brilliantly. The Staff. The owner (I presume), was a proper gentleman, funny, welcoming and happy to chat with us. Joseph at breakfast was another fantastic employee here, attentive and funny and a very good telephone manner! The rest of the staff here, bar staff, chefs and cleaners were all brilliant. Everyone was approachable and more than happy to help. My only gripe here was the parking, there wasn't much do to the place being on a roundabout, but do not let that put you off this amazing hotel/bar/restaurant. I will be back 100%, hopefully next week Food drinks: The food is phenomenal"

I have rated this pub before. Lovely place to go and have a drink. Unfortunately this time, don't know if short staffed or what had happened but service was poor. Bar was cluttered with dirty glasses. Staff didn't seem bothered about serving but having a laugh amongst themselves. I'm hoping this was a one off. Service: 2 Location: 4

Stayed 2 nights we had a great dinner, service very good staff all extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast a good choice for everyone including vegetarian and vegan options. Bedroom was a standard twin clean and comfortable. Provided a portable air-con unit which we didn’t use. Good size bathroom. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value

We arrived with no table booking for food and even though they were full they managed to get us a table in the bar area. Food was amazing! I'm not a steak eater but I tried my husbands and it was beautiful!! My pizza didn't disappoint either, beautiful thin, tasty and full of flavour! Rooms are great for the price we went for a luxury room Food drinks: Food and drinks let them down The steak was wrong and then the replacement was cold in the middle. Dessert was really good. Staff we very apologetic for there mistake Chef said that if you choose to sit outside the food will be cold! Everything except the steak was really hot on arrival!!! Can't fault the waitress she dealt with it and had it removed from the bill. Rooms: 5
