"My wife and I visited Ground Ballymena for lunch and coffee twice in the past two weeks. While I still enjoy the restaurant, I have noticed a decline in the quality of the food and decor compared to my previous visits. During our most recent visit, we ordered our food and sat on a sofa on the ground floor. The furniture, particularly the chairs, could use some updating or repairs, as they showed signs of wear and tear. The interior of the cafe was grey and gloomy, lacking interesting decor. There were only a few customers during our visit, suggesting a decline in popularity. While the food and drinks were satisfactory, the menu was basic and did not offer any specials. Other cafes in the area offer more unique options. The staff were pleasant and there was plenty of seating available. However, I feel that Ground Ballymena is in need of some revitalization to keep up with the changing coffee culture in the area. Overall, I believe that with some investment and improvements, the restaurant could attract more customers and thrive in the future."

Good choice of cakes and coffee, only interesting piece was that we asked for a skinny latte and then checked that it came with skimmed milk but it only came with semi skimmed milk!! View menu

we used to read a paper while we have our coffee now, is their paper is why after 18 years they have it too expensive or it is that the profit hard to get that we do not get the coffee a little up to cover cost. less a star

Very quiet cafe today. Only 2 downstairs tables occupied. Same variety of sandwiches and traybakes as always with no noticeable festive changes. This place badly needs some new items on menu. Disappointed today, so many more better cafes close by with more interesting variety.

great place. they gave children free hot chocolate and brownie, who got their transfer test results today, so we all went for a cuppa. friendly staff and great brownies and cake. also very good coffee and naturally hot chic. Thanks for the treatment of children who have worked so hard for their exams. View menu

The once bustling restaurant now appears empty. What happened? The menu offers a wide selection, but the Lemon drizzle cake was disappointing - stale and dried out. There was no assistance provided with carrying trays or pouring tea. Prices were high, yet the quality of the food was lacking. I will not be rushing back anytime soon. The restaurant needs to improve before it's too late. The level of customer service was lacking.

I hadn't visited this coffee shop on the main street in a while. It was very busy today. My husband enjoyed the bacon roll, which was excellent. I had a cherry scone, unfortunately it was overcooked in the microwave, and served with a small carton of bland jam and canned cream. The teapots were old and dripped everywhere. There was a lack of attention to detail and the food on display looked dry and curled up at the edges. It's a shame because this place has potential due to its prime location, but it needs some improvements to keep up with the times. Someone please help this place!
